opportunity torespond.*** *** was seen in our office on July 14, As a courtesy that we extendto all of our patient's, we billed her insurance company for the services rendered with theproper dental codesSince we are a dental office, we bill according to CDT codes.Medical offices bill with CPT codesWhen the Cigna agent asked for the medical codewe did not refuse to give the code we gave her the proper CDT codes for the proceduresperformedIt is critically important that we process all claims accurately and follow therules and regulations according to state and federal guidelinesWe cannot change aproper billing code to an improper billing code that would certainly be consideredfraudulent.We have provided the proper codes for the services rendered to *** *** andher insurance companyAny disagreement in regards to insurance coverage should bedirected to CignaAs stated in our financial policy, we bill insurance as a courtesy but thepatient is ultimately responsible for their balance (please see attached signed ftnancialpolicy)There is no basis for t!Iis complaint and we respectfully ask that the matter beclosed.Please feel free to contact our office with any further questions.BarbaraOffice Manager
