Our household belongings (located in ***) were packed and loaded on a truck on Thursday and Friday, July 18&19. It was scheduled to be delivered to our new home (located in ***) on Monday, July 22. The items were brought to *** over the weekend for storage. The trailer could not be accessed due to road conditions that Monday. Our delivery ended up taking place the following day (Tuesday, July 23). This caused issues as we had help available from out of town to assist with unpacking on Monday. This also caused financial impact as we spent around $250 on air mattresses, sheets, pillows and towels since we did not have our belongings.
In addition to the delay with delivering items, an entire kitchen drawer of items did not arrive at our new house. This includes all of our silverware, vegetable peeler, meat thermometer, butcher knife, can opener, paring knives, etc.
The customer service we have experienced has been awful and the true issue for this complaint. I contacted via phone our sales rep (Joe) twice on Monday to inform him of the truck issue (shouldn’t he have informed me on the issue!?!). While he answered the second time, the phone call ended with follow up needed on his part. Since that phone call, my husband and I have followed up with three emails and have not received any response. I contacted Stevens Van Line corporate this past Tuesday and she was going to reach out to the Cleveland office and get back to me, I have not received any feedback from that either.

On behalf of Stevens Worldwide Van Lines we apologize for any dissatisfaction *** may have experience with her recent relocation.
We have reviewed the complaint that was filed along with her move file and find as follows:
On 7/23/2019, we delivered ***’s belongs to her residence in ***. This was one day after the Required Delivery Date of 7/22/2019; however, due to unforeseen circumstances our driver was not able to reach ***’s residence due to a mudslide that had occurred in the area, blocking off access to her residence.
As per the signed Order for Service, we do allow for inconvenience payments when shipments are delivered late due to our handling. However, in this circumstance, the reason for the delay was due to Mother Nature and out of our control. Unfortunately, as the delay was not a direct result of our handling her shipment, we are not able to allow for an inconvenience on this shipment.
As this shipment is an Intra Ohio (intrastate) shipment, *** is required to file a claim for any missing or damaged items within 60 days of her delivery with the carrier. At this time no claim has been filed with us for any missing or damaged items. I am working with the local office and the driver to try and trace for the missing box, however, I am not able to offer settlement on this item as a claim has not been filed with Stevens Van Lines at this time. Once *** does file a claim with our office, I will make sure and provide proper settlement. A claim form has been emailed to *** at the email address of record.
I see that *** has noted a number of times that she has spoken to or left messages for Stevens regarding the above issues, however, we have no record of her contacting our claims department regarding either the inconvenience or missing HHG claims. I will be reaching out to Mrs. Moran regarding this to make sure she does not have any other questions that we may be able to assist her with.
Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction Mr. Driver may have experienced and trust this response will allow you to close this matter in regards to Stevens Van Lines.
We used Stevens for our move from Ohio to Indiana. The workers were very professional, personable, and efficient. I have zero complaints - the entire process was clear, easy, and smooth!!
I've used Stevens Van Lines for local moves before but this was my first Interstate move from Ohio to Florida. The guys that came to load the truck in Ohio were professional and quick. The driver was very informative and explained what would happen once my stuff left Ohio. Since the driver stays with your belongings he was the one that arrived right on time in Florida to deliver our stuff. I had his cell number and he called and texted with his progress. Everything arrived and there was absolutely no damage. I would definitely recommend Stevens Van Lines for any move, local or interstate!
Stevens and it's movers provided excellent service from beginning to end at a very reasonable rate. The two movers on both ends of our move were excellent. I would not hesitate to use Stevens again for any future moves. Everything arrived in good condition.
We had an excellent relocation experience with Stevens Van Lines! Our crew — led by Gerald G. of Toledo along with Mo (and Tony on the first leg of the trip, the packing of the truck) — went above and beyond the call of duty in every aspect of our interstate move (from Ohio to Connecticut). The guys were meticulous in protecting the floors, doors, walls and entrances of both our old home and our new one. They super-wrapped all our furniture, which included several leather pieces, a large, heavy bedroom set, a valuable grandfather clock, and an incredibly heavy & awkward standing safe. We haven’t seen any damage, anywhere. They disassembled then reassembled a queen and king-sized bed with no problems whatsoever. Besides the guys’ professional expertise, they were just the nicest people you’d ever have the pleasure to encounter. When the northeast weather resulted in a one-day delivery delay, Gerald kept us informed via cell phone. When it was time to say goodbye, after a long day’s work by Gerald and Mo, hugs were exchanged(!) as if they were our long-lost cousins! We’d have to give them an A+
I had a very positive experience with Stevens Moving when I moved from Cleveland to Philadelphia. I was initially apprehensive about the move but I was pleasantly surprised. The driver (James from Toledo) and his other workers Andy and Luke were very efficient and meticulous with how they packed things up. They were on time for the pick-up in Cleveland and exactly on time for drop off. All my furniture was in good condition. They were genuinely nice people to work with and it made the experience even better. I would highly recommend James and his colleagues!

We were very pleased with the move. The driver and his team did a good and timely job of packing and delivering and when they encountered a problem due to our short driveway and busy street dealt with it well. Everything went as scheduled and dealing with the business office was easy.
Stevan’s Van Line,Inc. was the easiest part of our move. They were on time, efficient, and treated our possessions with care. I would recommend them definitely.
Very good experience with the Stevens group out of Bedford Hts OH. Joe who did the estimate came out twice as we made changes to what we wanted moved. He was very professional and thorough and true to their word, the actual weight came in lower than the estimate, so the final bill was lower. Dave and his moving crew were great. Delivered within the time window we were told and kept us up to date as to when they would be arriving. We did have a damaged item. Dave was upfront with us, showed us the damage and told us how to get the claim going. Claim is in process now.
