Steven's Rentals are Slum Lords! I looked at three properties before settling on the best of the three When I moved into one of their boxes they call a house, I had roaches The exterminator lady said I brought them, which was not true Only a few of the windows had screens, the storm windows only have half the window and only some of them worked All of the weight and pulley windows were painted shut, and had to cut them open to put in the window AC units The ceramic heating wall units, are a century old, very inefficient, and the heating bill will cost you as much as the rent they charge The house has no insulation and the windows are drafty, you can feel the wind and cold radiating inside After asking several times for a replacement stove, because the oven continues to blow heating elements, they bring you extremely used appliances Now the oven makes noises when it heats up, and you burn your fingers when you turn on the stove elements The replacement stove is rusted, chipped, and arrived needing cleaning My floors are crooked, from broken floor joists, and therefore nothing in the house is level I have to support my furniture with 1x2's and 2x4's I called for service to a window whose sill had rotted It was repaired with a ripped 2xand tubes of silicone When asked to have a privacy fence installed (which would increase the property value), to keep the neighborhood drug business away, they imply they will do it, then laugh in your face Their customer service is a joke, there is no pride in their properties, yet the want to increase your rent at every chance they get I have put more time, money and effort into this property to make it comfortable I do not, and will not, suggest this management company to anyone I couldn't imagine the company owners taking care of their personal homes like they maintain their rental properties

I have rented from Stevens Realty for one year now and have never had any problems; in fact, we just renewed our lease for another yearOur home is very affordable and the maintenance guy is extremely friendly and helpfulHe even used his personal tools/supplies to help with a few little things around the house that was not his responsibility I have known the Stevens family on an acquaintance basis for a few years nowThey are very good peopleI cannot speak for the rest of their staff because I haven't had to deal with them much

My wife, month old son and week old son just moved into a *** rental duplex in *** They said the duplex had been professionally cleaned and looked overMy first time entering the dwelling at night I spotted cockroaches in every roomI called for a service call and they said they sent a professional exterminatorThis person had no uniform or vehicle stating he was from the local exterminating business and I still see them everywhere and haven't seen as many dead, unless my wife or I have smashed them yourselfUpon further inspection of our duplex it obviously wasn't cleanedDust and depris from other residents were in the corners of the rooms, bathroom and kitchen floors were disgusting, and the carpet has burns and stains and what looks like pieces of a melted pink crayonThe oven had not been cleaned and the range above the oven had grease all over itThe kitchen cabinets and drawers were disgusting inside and outI have up to days from our move in date to get out but can't afford to move and also if we moved we would probably be stuck with roaches at the next placeWe have no screen door or any screens on the windowsPaint is peelingIt is just a horrible place to rent from and has been nothing but a nightmareTo finish off my rantWhen I notified *** in the office she tried to say that no one saw a cockroach while cleaning and she didn't see any when she walked through to check out the duplex, pretty much trying to put the blame on my familyWhen obviously she didn't check work and no body cleaned

This company is not customer orientedI would never subject myself or my family to this business againAfter my experience I researched this company and bad reviews are all over the placeI do not trust Stevens Rentals and very glad this whole experience is over

Stevens rentals is a horrible company, they don't know anything about customer service or how to run a business in a professional manner
If you get mad at them on the phone they don't care, in fact they'll even laugh at you
