I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
There was not an adequate window of time for a cancellation to occur, nor was I informed that I wouldn't be able to cancel in the event of an emergency in such a short window of time.

I wanted to personally respond back to the email you had sent in regards to the complaint filed from [redacted] reference number [redacted] that she had contacted you in regards of her cancellation fee of $25.00.[redacted] had made reservations for the day of July 8, 2017...

on July 7, 2017 at 3:49 pm. When she had called to cancel her reservation policy was over. When guests cancel past the cancellation period the guest is to be charged for the full amount, instead our staff only charged [redacted] a $25.00 cancellation fee.The guest initially called a representative from Choice Hotels to cancel and the representative called the hotel directly and spoke with the front desk to cancel, while on the phone conversation the $25.00 cancellation was agreed upon from the representative of Choice Hotels. Therefore, we charged the guest [redacted] the $25.00 cancellation fee.I have attached the documentation that supports our side of the story. [redacted] was only charged $25.00 instead of the $59.95 that she agreed to paying when she reserved the reservation that indicates that if the guest cancels they are subject to pay for the room reserved.Best Regards,[redacted]General ManagerECONO LODGE[redacted]

[redacted] has been my on-call and go to "handyman" for years. He's completed various minor and major repairs from installing heavy curtain rods, large tree removal and disposal, installing ceiling fans and light sensors, painting interior walls, laying patio tile and water heater replacement. He is always on-time, friendly and knowledgeable in any home maintenance or electrical update. His prices are fair and will go out of his way to find parts needed for your home if necessary.

A very courteous and personable person who listen and completes assigned work. [redacted] is very reliable. Well guarantee his work.

During the balance of 2012 thru today, January 15, 2015, I have hired [redacted] to perform the following: Interior painting of walls/ceilings, drywall work, plumbing, electrical, tile cutting laying, carpentry, awnings, installation of water filter, etc.
As a result of his work I have felt and feel comfortable in recommending [redacted] to family, friends and others.

Review: We hired Steve Salsman and his partner Meghann S[redacted] to complete three items on a home inspection report. After the work was completed I was a little suspicious of the invoiced materials which seemed absurdly high but was able to negotiate a couple hundred dollars off of the invoice for an immediate payment.A few days later I find that out of the three items paid for, one was not completed and the other two were done insufficiently to pass inspection. At this point I compared the actual installed materials to the invoiced materials and found they had completely fabricated the invoice. I contacted the duo asking them to complete the three items but was told it would cost an additional unknown amount. At this point considering the unsatisfactory work and fabrication of materials I decided to hire someone else who had to pull out the original materials in order to complete the work properly.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a full refund of $1050. The three items were never completed and additional labor was needed to undo the unsatisfactory work.
