Took my 2009 Ford Flex there because it was over heating. Was recommended by them (Dave) that we needed a new engine. We discussed options and had used engine with a warranty shipped to location. We didn't hear from them a week after the engine was delivered, so we called and got nothing but excuses as to why the job couldn't be started/finished. That went on for 7 weeks, so I finally got a ride down there to see what the hold up was. I was told that it was a 2 person job and his other person was injured, but would be back on the following Monday (this was Friday). So I showed up on Monday to see if his person showed up, and he did not, so I told him I needed to take my car somewhere else. He had the garage my car was in blocked with a motor home without front wheels on. He said that I would have to wait until he finished the motor home for me to get my car. He said he watched a video on how to change the engine himself and to give him until Friday. He called us Friday and said my car was ready. We drove the car away and the check engine light started flashing and the car started jerking. We decided not to take the car back there due to our issues we had already had and we didn't trust the work he already did. We contacted Dave and told him the issues, and he said he didn't test drive the car or anything because our tires were too bad to drive, and that it was in better shape than when it was brought in. We had our car towed to *** in Snohomish. Steve's Automotive was supposed to check the engine and they signed for and there was an installation tag showing how to install, and if not followed, will void the engine warranty. *** told me a cylinder coil was bad on the engine (was supposed to check before installing), and now to get that fixed is costing more than the engine was. *** also said the wrong coolant was put in and was $250 to flush and change, among a few other things done wrong. I disputed with credit card to pay for parts only.
