Managers now allowed to argue
I had an issue with the change in a store policy that used to be fun and was good for kids and elderly people. I voiced my concern to the manager, Jared, in a way that he didn't like and he actually engaged in a lengthy three minute argument with me in the front entrance of the store with the security guard watching and customers and continued to argue with me! So if you're in for good argument apparently managers are allowed to argue with the customers now. It doesn't matter what the issue was, you don't argue with a customer! you pull them off to the side and calmly say that you are willing to address their concern, even if it's that there's an alien working behind the deli counter. Customer service is horrible and please don't shop at stews anymore. They also have a lot of unhappy employees I know some of them it's not a nice place to work or shop anymore.

Deli cold cut wrapping paper !
Price and cold cuts are fine but the flimsy white paper they are wrapped in is a source of grief .The paper sticks to the meat like fly paper and must be peeled off .Sometimes the paper tears and the slice must be held under a light and individually scraped . Can’ t u use a better quality wrapping paper ?

Customer’s Statement of the Problem:I attempted to get a reply but no has acknowledge my previous email to the site in regards to NOT receiving the $gift card when encountering issues with the meat and having discuss the stew Leonard CreedI forward a 2nd and 3rd correspondence
to see if there was an over slight of sort or just forgotten but have never receive gift card agreed tooI am baffle as well as greatly disappointed in the lack of customer service and following thru in regards to matters now a year oldI only thought of it as we are traveling back down to *** *** next week for the holidays

First let me say I enjoy shopping in Stew Leonard's storesThey are different and fun to shop in, and their products are usually very good!
A week or so before the holidays I ordered a gift online for my daughter and her family, it said it would be delivered in two days from the order date and I would receive an order conformation, I never received the conformation so the next day I called and was told the order was lost? Hearing this I emailed customer service to find out what was going on especially since my credit card was being charged for the gift? A few hour later I received an email saying they found my order and would be shipped, BUT rather then being delivered on Friday it would be delivered on Monday because of the time lost finding my orderI was not that happy about it but at least they found and shipped the orderSL was giving free standard shipping on orders over $my order a little over $A few days later I decided to also send my other daughter and her family a gift from SLI looked at their gift items and decided to send them two gifts, one cost $24.99, the other $for a total of $when I went to check out it would NOT give me free shipping? It wanted to charge me ANOTHER $for shipping? I called the service number and was told maybe it was because the gifts were not over $each? I told the woman it said NOTHING about each gift being over $what it said was: FREE standard SHIPPING on GIFTS OVER $and I had gifts that totaled almost $and going to the same place? The woman on the phone agreed with me but she could not do anything for me as far as taking the shipping cost offI contacted the same person that found my first order via email and told her of my new problem with this second orderShe told me that each gift must be over $and not on the total amount of the orderI answered back that nowhere does the ad say that, I went on to tell her they use the word GIFTS [plural] not GIFT [singular] I said to her IF that was the case the ad should read as far as I see it: FREE standard SHIPPING on INDIVIDUAL GIFTS OVER $or, FREE standard SHIPPING on GIFTS OVER $EACH, she told me she would pass it onShe also said she would make an EXCEPTION and give me the free shipping AFTER I told her I am going to post complaints on the internet websites like ***, *** *** etc, which I didAs far as making an EXCEPTION for me, I told her no thanks, I would NEVER order anything again online from SL, TIMES I tried to order something and both times I had lots of aggravation for doing so!
I never gave the second order to SL, I ordered from another website WITHOUT any problemsA few days later I was checking my credit card purchases online at my banking website and I see that SL credited my first online purchase? I emailed the same person and ask why? I told her I NEVER asked her for any credit nor did I expect or want it, I asked to to PLEASE recharge my credit card for that amountTo this day their credit stands? ALSO they have NEVER changed their wording in their ads to SPECIFY that EACH ITEM to get free shipping must be over $25.?
Anyone shopping for gift food items online from STEW LEONARD GIFTS, needs to read between their ad lines and to MAKE SURE what this company will offer as a free shipping item to AVOID the aggravation I went throughI will never use this website again, it's up to you if you want to use them?

It's very upsetting when you attempt to reach out to this organization regarding spoiled meat and issues with the so called fresh orange juice and it goes on deaf ears. I respectfully reached out to Stew Leonards back in May of 2016 relating to these issues and nobody has reached out as of this date. My wife and I would travel once a month from Milford to the Newington store with our granddaughter to shop and enjoy all the wounderful children's setups. I refuse to go until I hear something from one of their representive otherwise I will continue to assume that they could care less of our concerns.

Received a message from their customer relations department which resolved the above issues. The original message I sent was never received which happens from time to time. Short of the story, my family will be happy to once again patronize Stew Leonards. Thank you Stew Leonards for emailing me, shows that you care about what your customers think and experience during their visit to your stores.
