I am responding to the grievance filed against our company, [redacted] Construction, Inc.. We are a general contractor who is contracted with the City of Riverside to investigate possible damage to sewer lateral lines in the public right of way. On Friday, October 30, we were contacted by the City regarding a claimant's report of a crushed lateral under the City Street. . Our crew arrived on site at 5:00 pm, we used the renters green hose that was connected to the hose bib at the side of the house to facilitate his cameras movement along the sewer lateral. I have attached site photos of the green hose at the side of the house. Our crew states that only the green garden hose was present at the time of the investigation.
On Monday, November 2 I received a call from the Sewer Dispatch Department saying that the renter, [redacted], had called claiming her hose was taken by our crew. I immediately called our crew to inquire about the hose. I was told that only a green hose was present (see pictures). I called the renter, [redacted] to explain that my crew had only seen and used the green hose. She was very emphatic that our crew had taken her hose. I explained that is we had inadvertently taken her hose we would gladly return. We inspected our trucks and found no hose. I reported this again to the renter.
Since this has become such a big misunderstanding, we have decided to purchase a hose for Ms. [redacted] and settle this claim.

I am glad the company bought me a new hose. But to make things clear, the green hose was not attached to the spicket. The black one is the only hose attached and used. I also personally seen their employee roll up my black hose. There was also a witness who saw their employee put in his company vehicle. Yes I do also own a green hose that the company used. I would of liked to confront the employee. I also don't liked being taken advantage of. And yes this is a big deal. This whole ordeal should of not even happened. I hope the employee was reprimanded.
