On the 6th of June I reached out to Stingray via phone call and was put in contact with Michael ***, a salesmanI informed him of the Colorado model and color(s) I was in interested inLiving about an hour away I wanted to make sure that Stingray would be able to get what I wanted before traveling the distanceMichael assured me I would not be disappointed On the 7th of June, I drove to Stingray and met with Michael Everything went well and within a few minutes he was able to locate the vehicle I was looking for on the other coast, about hours awayAfter agreeing on the vehicle and a price we started the contract of purchaseMichael took me to Louie, the financial officer, we then signed all of the paperwork and I put down a deposit of $3,It was arranged for me to pick up the vehicle on June 14thMichael thanked me for being flexible with the pick up date as it gave Stingray time to detail the vehicleI then sold my truck and let the buyer know that they could have it on Saturday, June 11, days before I was to pick up my new oneOn Monday the 13th, I received a call saying the vehicle would not be there on Tuesday but I should still come to Stingray in order to get a loaner vehicle until the new vehicle could be procured
On Tuesday, June 14th, my wife and I drove to Stingray to pick up the loaner, a SilveradoBefore leaving, both Michael and Louie assured me my new vehicle would be there by the end of the weekAbout a half hour later Michael sent me a text asking if I had a 2nd or even 3rd color optionAt this point I become confused because we had an agreed upon contractI called Michael and he said they would not be able to get the vehicle and I would need to pick another color and configuration for a different vehicleI explained to Michael that I would be willing to wait the weeks for Chevy to build the exact vehicle we had agreed upon, however, the only issue was that I had already sold my vehicle due to the contract and down paymentI was then passed off to Sales Director, George ***, who I spoke to brieflyI offered numerous scenarios to help alleviate this unforeseen situation but George's response was simply "no" to every option I offeredI was then transferred to John ***, the New Car DirectorFrom the start of the conversation, John was completely unprofessionalHe stated I was unreasonable and irresponsible for selling my old vehicle before having my new vehicle in handThis sounded totally absurd to me since we had a contract and Stingray had $3,of my money as a down paymentGeorge told me to take my business elsewhere, which I was more than happy to do at this pointHe stated we wanted the loaner returned the following day
That night I went online to search the VIN number of the original, agreed upon vehicle to see if it was in fact, soldI discovered that it was still listed on the inventory of the original dealership (on the other coast) so later that night I put in an internet inquiryFirst thing the next morning that dealership contacted me and put me in touch with a salesmanI asked if the vehicle was sold or if there was a sale pending and the answer was no to both questions Two days later, I drove to the dealership and picked up my new vehicle
Due to the unprofessionalism and poor customer service, I would not recommend Stingray Chevrolet to anyone
