Stirling Eyecare Center Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I did not try to slip, hide, or otherwise place the frames in my purse. I don't do that sort of thing. I didn't throw the frames on the table. I wouldn't do that either. I told them, many times, over the past years, that I didn't like the front part of these frames, only the stems. But, the fact of the matter is, I don't steal. I had picked out and put money down on frames and lenses I liked and was looking forward to wearing as they were. I wasn't interested in stealing or purchasing the ones I put back. I, also, was not told the price. The frames were marked. I knew the price. I never told them it was too much money. No price, high or low is ever worth it to me to steal. I didn't do what this business is accusing me of. I did put the frames back on the display. They acknowledged that. They never came near my purse. They also told me over the phone that it wasn't until I was at the display case and putting the frames back that they noticed I was "thinking about putting the frames in my purse", their words. How they knew what I was "thinking" is beyond me.
They told me to come in and pick up my records. I told them I would be in later that day. They didn't tell me to not to come and that the records would be delivered. When I arrived, 2-hours later, the records were not ready. They weren't even ready for mail deliveryEven if there was a miscommunication and someone had mistakenly told me to come in and pick up the records, there was no reason for the rude and inconsiderate behavior I was treated with. I was shushed and told that she knows how to act in a professional way. Shushing is not professional. I was understandably upset as they were not returning my money (why would they stamp it with their deposit stamp if they already witnessed this bizarre, uncharacteristic behavior of mine, which I didn't do!).
To resolve this, I would like to see them taken off of the Revdex.com website, for starters. They are not a "better business". Instead, they are a business I and others will be avoiding!
Regards,

On June 12, 2014 [redacted] came to our office to purchase glasses. She had previously chosen a frame when she was in for her eye examination on 5/8/14. When she came in to place the order, she looked at her original frame choice we had on hold for her as...

well as a new frame. She could not decide which to purchase. After my employee told her the cost of the new frame, she remarked that it was too much money but she continued to carry it with her in the office.
She asked my employee to adjust her current glasses and at that time she still had the new frame in her hand. She carried it to another part of the office where we usually adjust glasses only. When my employee finished the adjustments on Gina's current frame, my employee saw that she had the frame still in her hand and was putting it in her purse.
As soon as she saw my employee witness her actions, she threw the frame on the table and said she would put it back. She did put the frame back before she left, but I felt uncomfortable enough with her actions that day, that I called her later and asked her not to return to our practice.
My manager called her the next day to say that her and her families' records would be mailed to her. We shredded her check because it had our account number stamped on the back. She showed up later that same day and made a scene in front of other patients because she had to wait for her records, even though we told her they would be mailed. She also demanded we return her check. We explained to her that we had already shredded it. She insisted we give her the check even though it was shredded. This, of course, was impossible.
Respectfully submitted,
[redacted], O.D.

Review: On June 12, 2014, I stopped in to Stirling Eyecare in [redacted], to order my progressive prescription frames and make a full balance payment on them so that they could be ordered. I had previously had my eyes examined and measured for the lenses/frames. I had no problems with the service or personnel. On that day, I also requested that they adjust my current pair of glasses which they did as well to my satisfaction. I had pulled two sets of frames, while there, that I had looked at during previous visits to Stirling. They put one pair back on the shelves and I volunteered to replace the other pair. Which I did. After that, I left. My kids and I waved bye and thanked them for candy.Several hours passed and one of the doctors called to give a few answers I was seeking while there. After that, she proceeded to broached the subject and accuse me of stealing the frames that I had placed back on their display case. I said I most definitely placed the frames back on the shelf. At that point she agreed that they saw them on the shelf. She went on to explain that even though I placed them back, their employee thought it looked like I had thought about placing them in my purse. Even though I had placed them back on the shelf, the doctor explained, because it looked like I was thinking about taking them, they didn't wish to do business with me. I asked her to reconsider and explained that it is not even in my DNA to consider stealing. She said she would pray about it and get back to me.This morning an employee from the business called to let me know that they will not be doing business with me any longer and that I could come in to pick up my records. When I arrived to pick up my records a few hours later, the records were not ready. I had to wait about 10 minutes for them and they would not return my check which was for almost $275. I am understandably upset and at one point an employee told me to shush. They also told me to trust them about my check. They don't trust me. I don't trust them.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology. I will not be returning to their business nor will I recommend their business for others to patronize. I will most certainly be doing the opposite. But, an apology from the doctor would go a long way with resolving this at least a little for me. I would also like Revdex.com to be aware that Stirling Eyecare of [redacted], treats their loyal customers like this. They lost more than 4 customers today. They lost my respect and their integrity.
