Due to computer/cash problem, I was provided with an initialled receipt from Stitches & Stones *** for over $200, to be used as a store credit. It was explained to me then that it would be "good" as an in-store credit as the items were returned, and it would not expire.

I have been in to the store a few times since, and I have not found clothes to fit me. I mentioned the store credit and showed my initialled receipt, and abruptly was told it was not going to be honoured. The sales clerk stated she would contact the *** at the other store, off the Kingsway. I heard back from the same lady, saying they would not honour this, and hung up. The two ladies mentioned that they didn't do things this way.

I have the receipt, which ink is slowly getting worn. I have scanned it to hope preserve this receipt. Client service here was terrible, implying that I was lying and trying to deceive them of the money.

In order to resolve this, I was told to reach out to you The ***. I never knew I could, so that is the explanation for the delay. The receipt is over a year old.

Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter. We continually strive to provide exceptional customer service and apologize that your experience with our store did not meet your expectations.

According to our store records (see attached), your original purchase of three items was made on April 5, 2017. You returned those items on April, 8, 2017. Per our store policy, you were given a store credit for the original purchase price of the returned items for a total of $206.79. This store credit does not have an expiration date. Since our store opened, our policy has been to offer an opportunity to exchange or receive a store credit for items that are brought back to the store within 14 days of purchase. The response of providing you with a store credit, and not a complete monetary refund, is in line with our store policy. We apologize for how you felt you were treated during your return to our store. We hold our Sales Associates to a higher standard of behaviour, and hate to hear that this expectation of service was not met.

We are sad to hear that you have not found any items that you like during your subsequent visits to our stores. We pride ourselves on carrying a wide range and inclusive selection of both style and sizes in our stores. If you would like to contact us at ***, we would love to schedule a time that would be convenient for you to come into one of our stores so that we may help you find something that you love. If you would prefer something other than clothes, both of our locations carry a wide variety of apothecary, home decor, candles, and gifts that you may find to your liking.

At this time, we will not be able to offer you a complete monetary refund, as our procedures for completing an exchange were followed according to store policy.

Again, we apologize that your experience at our stores did not meet your expectations.
