I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The dealership is obviously disregarding the fact that they ILLEGALLY ran a credit application in my name without my permission or knowledgeIt seems to me that because they are a big dealership they, are fine with what they did and think they can get away with itI do NOT want a different vehicle from themOther than the car I have now that I bought previous to all this happening, I will never do business with them againThe fact they offered me a $gift card for their actions is in insult Also they tend to twist words around on here compared to what is stated on the phoneWhich could be due to the fact that we keep getting shoved off to a different person every time we try to have contact with Tim G***The dealership is the one that screwed upI shouldn't have been the one constantly having to reach out to them and when no one would contact us, finally file a claim with the Revdex.comIt is very bad business etiquette and poor customer serviceI have already filed a complaint through the attorney generals office as wellI am very dissatisfied and have yet to get what my very initial request has been, which is proper compensation and the credit bureau contacted and their illegal actions explained and removed from my credit report.

In reference to Tim G*** last correspondence, I did not receive a call from him as statedI had no missed calls and no voicemailsHe did contact my husbandMy husband and I discussed options that Tim could do to help "make the situation right." My husband returned a call to Tim to discuss that and Tim was to get back to us, which he didBut just like previous attempts to "make things right," we were told he didn't have anything at this timeSo to avoid wasting any more of either of our time, I'd like my initial requestI want the credit bureau contacted and the "hit" on my credit because of them running an illegal credit application removedI also want compensated for all of thisI will also be following through with my report to the attorney generals office as I feel I am being given the run around by a big company who messed up and doesnt want to fix it.

The "As Is" was signed on the Saturday that I originally looked at the vehicle and they told me if I was taking it that day it was "As Is", but if I waited till Monday, they would fix the engine code light of sensors - at NO point did this dealership DISCLOSE the possibility of the transmission being an issue. They told me that they did a point check, but don't check everything - so what is that suppose to mean? What does there point check mean? They had the opportunity to look at the vehicle to which they did and told me that the wheel bearing was bad that they wouldn't cover it because the "As Is" was signed to which I told them that was not the case which they all seem to have forgotten. Seems this dealership and the "great, great guy *** *** had something to hide. Now my next thing is I in NO WAY can take this vehicle to them as it left me stranded on the side of the road. Bottom line someone needs to fix this as I feel that I was mislead in the sale of this vehicle as you cant tell me out of one breath you do a point check which should cover mechanics as I asked if this vehicle was mechanically sound to which the response was "yes" due to the point check performed but yet then when I brought the wheel bearing to the attention it was "the point check doesn't cover everything" I am paying on a vehicle that I can not drive due to their negligence. The wiper blades and 3rd brake light also needed replaced which was the only thing at the time of the wheel bearing check that they said they would cover to fix BUT yet did not. If I had known the truth of this vehicle this would not have become my problem as it would never had been purchased but they NEVER disclosed anything

I am responding to the complaint ID # ***We sold the vehicle in "as is" condition with no warranty either expressed or implied(See Attached Paperwork} The "As Is" notification is signed by *** and she was given a copyIn an effort to keep our customer happy we would be wilting to
diagnose the problem for freeWe make no promise of assistance beyond that, however after determining what the problem is we may participate to a greater degreeWe welcome the opportunity to assist Ms*** if possible

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. In response to the letter from Tim G[redacted]. There was no confusion. My husband went in to see about getting a car. He filled out all the paper work. He did put my information in where it asks for spouses info. I was not there and did not authorize them to run my credit or to apply for a loan. Later after we brought it to their attention they did have my husband and I go to try to do a joint application for him to get a vehicle. We were not approved and then every time we called to speak with Tim, we never got a return call. We purchased a car elsewhere so we do not need to have him assist us in the future as far as that goes. I would like it removed from my credit as they promised and since we will not be purchasing a vehicle from them I would like compensated for the time, effort, and hassle of still trying to get this resolved. It is illegal to run anyone's credit without them being there to sign and approve it. And if they are stating that I did so on the day I am referencing they are in face lying and even admitted to us they made a mistake.  I am still in the process of working with the attorney generals office.

[redacted]I am responding to complaint #[redacted]. My name is Tim G[redacted], and I am General Sales Manager of Stocker Chevrolet. I am familiar with the [redacted] and would be happy to help them with their auto needs. There was some initial confusion over the customer statement completed by Mr....

[redacted]. It contained information on both Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]. We were unable to secure financing for them but would certainly make another attempt. Credit can certainly improve over the course of a year, and possibly we will be successful at this time. We have signed customer financial statements from both parties. We anxiously await a response and will work with the [redacted] in any reasonable way. We guard our A+ rating with the Revdex.com, and thank you for your attention to this matter.Best RegardsTim G[redacted]General Sales Manager

Dear [redacted]I am responding to ID [redacted] Aaron C[redacted], a member of our management , team, spoke with Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] stated they were looking to get a 7-passenger sport utility for $356 a month. We expressed that would be difficult to achieve as those vehicles tend to be expensive. We suggested maybe a 7-passenger minivan might be more in line pricewise, but Mr. [redacted] indicated he did not think that would work.To get an accurate assessment of affordability we would need to appraise the trade and get a payoff on the trade. As an alternative, we would research the expunging of inquiries on their credit bureau and offer a $100.00 gift card out of customer goodwill. The inquiries in question may have no effect on current credit scores as this has occurred many months ago.Aaron C[redacted] just informed me that he has just spoken with Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] said they may be interested in a Chevrolet Traverse. We cannot guarantee finance or payment range but will work to achieve a satisfactory transaction for all involved. If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me.Regards, Tim G[redacted]

Good evening [redacted],  My name is Mark T[redacted] I'm the sales manager at Stocker Chevrolet. I'm emailing you concerning the above complaint filed by [redacted].  On Wednesday 3/1/17 Ms [redacted] visited the dealer to express her grievance. At which point we reviewed her agreements....

At the end of our long discussion Ms [redacted] agreed that she was confused with the various documents she had reviewed and confirmed that she understood her sales price of her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt was $6,888 plus the extended warranty she elected to purchase and associated state taxes and plate fees.  However satisfied with our conversation Ms [redacted] expressed some concerns about the vehicle she purchased not fitting her specific needs. I agreed that we would try to help her trade out of her Cavalier into something else.  Friday 3/3/17 we came to an agreement with Alicia to trade her out of her 2007 Cobalt into a 2012 Kia Forte which she specifically pick out. Alicia left happy and thank us for our outstanding customer service.  Please feel free to email me or call me with any further question you may have.   Regards,Mark T[redacted]Stocker Chevrolet Subaru 814.238.4905 Office412.818.3900 Mobilemt[redacted]@stockerchevrolet.co...

Review: In Nov of 2015 my husband went to Stocker to see about purchasing a vehicle. They gave him paperwork to fill out and proceeded with the financing side of everything. He was later informed through the dealership and also through multiple letters from lenders that he was not approved for a loan. I also began receiving letters from multiple lenders stating I didn't get approved for a vehicle loan. I come to find out Stocker ran my credit and put me on the application to get a car loan without my presence, knowledge, or permission. I immediately contacted Stocker and after discussing the situation they agreed they made a mistake and said they would call the credit bureau to explain the mistake and have it removed from my record and also would help us get a vehicle by selling on to us at their cost to try to remedy the mistake. The sales manager is the one who discussed this with myself and my husband. We were back and forth with the dealership trying to find a vehicle he liked that was in our price range which wasn't working out. They took down information of what my husband was looking for and the price range and said they would call with anything that came in. Every few weeks my husband would call to see if anything came and and we were told no. As time went all the sales manager was never available to talk so we left multiple messages to have him call us back with no luck. This went on for multiple months with multiple calls to the dealership with messages left and no calls returned to us. I have given them plenty of time to fix what they did. I also found out no one ever called the credit bureau to explain what happened so it is a mark on my already not so good credit. A dealership is not allowed to run a customers credit unless they are present and sign for it. I would like correction made to my credit report and also compensation. I also plan on contacting the attorney generals office since Stocker has no interest in fixing the issue.Desired Settlement: I request to have the credit bureau contacted and it removed from my credit report and also compensation.

Review: We purchased a used car that had electrical quirks and after bringing the vehicle back and forth several times it was never fixed. We are were forced to keep the vehicle after finding out that no real effort was put in finding the problem. They did give us loaner cars each time but found out they never actual seeked out the problem. Was told it was taken to the KIA dealership for repairs which was not true. To return the car we would have to requalify for a loan to get another, but our credit was yanked to much to get a loan.Desired Settlement: Just wanted a used car to depend on and that will accomodate our family.

Review: Revdex.comTo whom it may concern:I would like to lodge a complaint against Stocker Chevrolet, [redacted]. I will explain my situation and your company can decide if my complaint is valid.I took a 2003, manual, Pontiac Vibe to their business to be inspected on 8-5-13 (I had purchased this same vehicle from them two years prior). I was told the vehicle would need front and rear brakes, and a left front sway bar link. The estimated cost of the inspection and repairs would be about $700. I did not follow through with the work as I wanted to shop around for a better price. I asked at that time if they would honor a 10% off coupon that I had received in the mail from them and though hesitant he said yes. Vehicle sat at my home for two months as I shopped around and decided if I wanted to pay the cost and how I would pay for it.Returned to Stocker on 10-17-13 to get the work done as the current inspection was to run out on the 31st. Called Stocker on the 18th to let them know I had the 10% off coupon as I noticed that the coupon states to make it known at the time of service. The new estimate for repairs was to be over $1,000. The added repairs were for the drivers side door handle and a rear shock. The vehicle had 137,057 miles on it in August and 137,068 miles on it in October. It is not my primary vehicle and sat for the two months between inspections. I insisted by phone that there was no way I would get the repairs. Later in the day I received a call that they had checked again and it was determined that it was fine not to do the door handle, $170. I still opted to take the vehicle somewhere else. I was charged $18 for the work Stocker had done as he said he was taking 10% off of my $20 dollar bill for the inspection.I was able to get brakes and have the car pass inspection for about $521 dollars at another company. Please let me know if this is a valid complaint. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I am mainly making this complaint for your information. However, is it possible to have my car checked by your company to see if the other repairs that Stocker listed are actually needed? if they are not needed, is there any recourse for me?Please, also explain to me what it means that my complaint will not be "published" if I am not asking for a settlement.

IN RESPONSE TO Revdex.com ID NUMBER [redacted] REFERENCING MISS [redacted] STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM. MISS [redacted] ACTUALLY RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP 10-16-13 AND ASKED IF STOCKER CHEVROLET WOULD BE WILLING TO GO AGAINST COMPANY POLICY AND ACCEPT A CREDIT CARD CHECK FOR PAYMENT. SERVICE MANAGEMENT ELECTED TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION TO COMPANY POLICY AND ACCEPT A CREDIT CARD CHECK FROM MISS [redacted] AS WE BELIEVE SHE IS A GOOD CUSTOMER AND WE WANTED TO HELP HER ANYWAY WE COULD. ALSO EVEN THOUGH MISS [redacted] HAD NOT MENTIONED HER COUPON AT THE TIME SHE DROPPED OF HER CAR AS SHE STATED. STOCKERS ALSO CHOSE TO BEND THE RULES AGAIN AND SAID WE WOULD ALLOW MISS [redacted] TO USE THE COUPON FOR SERVICE WORK, SINCE WE FELL SHE IS A GOOD CUSTOMER AND WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HER VEHICLE SERVICE AND SALES NEEDS INTO THE FUTURE. AS FOR MISS [redacted] DRIVERS SIDE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE THAT IS BROKEN AND MUST BE HELD IN PLACE TO GET THE DRIVERS DOOR TO OPEN. (APENDIX A) IN SECTION 175.77 OFTHE PENNSYLVANIA VEHICLE INSPECTION MANUAL IT STATES "A VEHICLE SPECIFIED UNDER THIS SUB CHAPTER SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH DOORS OF A TYPE USED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPTMENT. THE DOORS SHALL OPEN AND CLOSE SECURELY UNLESS THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN MANUFACTURED OR MODIFIED TO THE EXTENT THAT THERE IS NO ROOF OR SIDE. TAILGATES, EXCEPT ON VEHILES WHERE THE TAILGATE GIVES ACCESS TO THE PASSENGER COMPATMENT, MAY BE REPLACED WITH WOOD PLANKING, NETS OR OTHER MATERIAL THAT WILL PREVENT THE LOSS OF LOAD. TAILGATES MAY BE REMOVED WHEN OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR EXAMPLE A TRUCK CAMPER IS ADDED" (APENDIX B) THE PENNSYLVANNIA STATE INSPECTION MANUAL GENERAL PROVISIONS SUB CHAPTER A DOES NOT DEFINE WHAT SECURELY MEANS. (APENDIX C) MERRIAM-WEBSTER DEFINES SECURE AS PROTECTED FROM DANGER OR HARM; PROVIDING PROTECTION FROM DANGER OR HARM; GUARDED SO THAT NO ONE CAN ENTER OR LEAVE WITHOUT APPROVAL (APENDIX D) THUS IF THE CAR DOOR IS TO BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE IF A PERSON DID NOT KNOW THAT YOU MUST HOLD IN ON THE BROKEN DOOR HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR, THE DOOR MAY NOT OPEN AT TIMES, THUS CAUSING DANGER OR HARM TO AN OCUPANT THAT WOULD NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM A CAR BY SAFTEY WORKERS IF NEEDED. ONCE AGAIN STOCKER WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY AND CONSULTED WITH AN OUTSIDE SOURCE. (VEHICLE TECK USA) THAT TRYS TO HELP SHOPS PUT MEANING TO THE GREY AREAS OF THE INSPECTION MANUAL. AFTER REVIEWING THIS DATA AND CONSULTING WITH OTHERS WE THEN INFORMED MISS [redacted] THAT WE WOULD NOT REQUIRE THE DOOR HANDLE TO BE REPLACED. AS FOR THE SHOCK NEEDING REPLACED IT IS EXHIBITING SEVERE LEAKAGE AS OVER 3/4 OF THE SHOCK WAS COVERED IN OIL THAT HAD LEAKED OUT OF THE SHOCK. WHICH IN SECTION 175.80 SUB SECTION E NUMBER 3, lV IT STATES REJECT FOR INSPECTION IF THE SHOCK ABSORBERS HAVE SEVERE LEAKAGE-NOTSLIGHT DAMPNESS. (APENDIX E)

PICTURE OF LEAKING SHOCK. AS FAR AS THE OTHER SHOPS REPAIRS AND INVOLVMENT I CAN NOT ANSWER FOR THEM ON THERE REPAIRS, OR DECISTION OF WHAT IS NEEDED OR NOT NEEDED FOR INSPECTION. ALSO YOU CAN ALSO SEE THAT STOCKER CHEVROLET WAS TRUE TO THERE WORD AND HONORED THE 10% OFF COUPON FOR THE INSPECTION. AS FOR THE DESIRED SETTLEMENT I AM UNSURE AS TO MISS [redacted] REQUEST. HOPEFULLYTHIS EXPLANATION WILL HELP WITH THE RESOLUTION.

Complaint # 9806061

This letter is written in rebuttal to Stocker Chevrolet’s response to my complaint.

Stocker makes arguments of how they have gone against policy to accommodate my requests. These issues are not relevant to the business at hand:

"MISS [redacted] ... ASKED IF STOCKER CHEVROLET WOULD BE WILLING TO GO AGAINST COMPANY POLICY AND ACCEPT A CREDIT CARD CHECK FOR PAYMENT. …. ALSO EVEN THOUGH MISS [redacted] HAD NOT MENTIONED HER COUPON ATTHE TIME SHE DROPPED OF HER CAR AS SHE STATED. STOCKERS ALSO CHOSE TO BEND THE RULES AGAIN AND SAID WE WOULD ALLOW MISS [redacted] TO USE THE COUPON FOR SERVICE WORK, SINCE WE FELL SHE ISA GOOD CUSTOMER AND WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HER VEHICLE SERVICE AND SALES NEEDS INTO THE FUTURE.”

Both of these issues benefit Stocker if the work was to be done by their company. If either request was not honored I informed them that I would take my business elsewhere. This was not said in a malicious fashion; it was just a matter of fact. Stocker had also been informed that the reason their business was chosen was because they were the most convenient for me and not due to the cost of service. Stocker makes no mention of the left front sway bar link, which was not identified by the business that worked on and passed my vehicle for inspection.

Two months prior to the October inspection by Stocker, there was no mention (by Stocker at that time) of the driver’s side door handle (which couldn’t have been missed), or the shock absorber. I believe these infractions were added to pad my bill based on my having the 10% off coupon.

In speaking with Mrs. [redacted] from the Revdex.com I learned that her business does not conduct the type of inspection that I am requesting to see if the repairs were ever needed. I believe my best option is to contact my car insurance company and have the same inspectors that would be used for an insurance evaluation, check and see if the repairs, Stocker stated, were needed. If they were not needed, lodging a criminal complaint for Fraud is, I believe, the next consideration.

Thank you.

Review: My husband and I went to the dealership on July 12th to look at a 2004 Dodge Durango. We wanted to take it with us but they couldn't verify the letter from the credit union and to which they had us fill out AS IS paperwork being we wanted to do that. We were told by the salesman that if we waited that they would cover it under a warranty as they do all their other used vehicles. It was delivered to us on Monday July 14th to which I noticed a noise while driving as well as a shimmy that was nt noticed in the short test drive. I called the dealership to which it took me weeks to finally make contact and I took it over Saturday August 2nd to which the discovered a wheel bearing was bad and an issue with the transmission. They told me that they wouldn't fix it but would put wipers on and fix the 3rd brake light as the other repairs where to much to do and after all what did I expect from a used vehicle and I signed AS IS. Now they tell me they do a 27 point check on the vehicles. My question is what is the 27 point check - 2 headlights, 4 doors, taillights etc. Now here I am paying on a vehicle that I can not drive due to exactly 11 weeks after purchase Sept. 30th the transmission goes out of the vehicle and is a cost of $2,968.00 to repair of which I feel they should pay for at the shop I have it at as well as fix the wheel bearing because they NEVER disclosed this information when I was purchasing the vehicleDesired Settlement: For the dealership to pay for the transmission to be repaired at [redacted] in Altoona, PA for $2,968.00 as well as fix the wheel bearings I know the noise is coming from the right front but both probably need fixed before they ruin the tires as I feel that if they do a 27 point check this should have been revealed and mentioned at time of the vehicle purchase and to add insult to injury they send me a maintenance email with regard to changing the oil, the transmission filter etc.
