Review: I would like to dispute the transaction of $5000 that occurred at Stockton Diesel Services Inc. on 5-24-2013. My diesel big rig truck was having mechanical issues and I took my truck to Stockton Diesel Services to get it repaired and serviced. The truck was in the shop Stockton Diesel Services Inc. for roughly about 11 days. The issues the truck was having involved the engine blowing combustion into the cooling system and the engine using water. The day the truck was ready I went to the shop to pick it up. I asked the owner if I could take the tuck on a test drive to see if all the mechanical issues I was having with my vehicle had been resolved. However Stockton Diesel Services, Inc. refused to let me take my truck on a test drive so I could determine if everything was fixed. They told me that I had to make the payment first and then I can take the truck. At first, I was hesitant to pay because I was not sure if all the problems had been resolved but due to the truck being locked inside the shop, I had no other option but to pay upfront. After charging the total amount on my Bank of America Credit Card, I was able to take my truck out of the shop. Shortly afterwards while I was driving to work, the check engine light came on again. I called Stockton Diesel Service, Inc. to inform them that the problem still persisted and [redacted] who answered the telephone informed me to bring the truck back and they will take a look at it. When I went back to the mechanic shop, [redacted] who is the owner, told me that he will not look at the truck again and told me to leave but his son was willing to help because I had already talked to him on the phone. [redacted] hooked up the truck to the laptop to troubleshoot it and determine what was initiating the check engine light again. All they did after I had gone back was they cleared the check engine light but had not fixed the actual mechanical issue and refused to do so. After I left Stockton Diesel Services the second time, the check engine light immediately came on once again. I'm not satisfied with the repairs they made because they have charged me over $5,000 but the issue I was having before are still there and they are unwilling to fix them.Desired Settlement: Since I have lost all trust and confidence in Stockton Diesel, Inc. they should pay back the money they charged me since I did not receive anything in return and lost a number of work days.

[redacted] came into the shop on 5-14-13 for truck using water, took truck to Dyno Master for a dyno test. Stockton Diesel trouble shot problem and replace bad cylinders, had block deck machined. Owner was advised that the rest of cylinders should be inspected. [redacted] declined. Replaced head gasket. Problem was resolved. [redacted] came back with check engine light, had a code for exhaust filter problem,cleared codes and advised owner of code. [redacted] was upset thinking that this should be warranty and was advised that they were seperate problems.
