This customer was told that most food truck owners purchased a watt generator or largerOur salesperson recommended the watt generatorThe customer was shown the larger (more expensive) generator and made the decision to buy a smaller unit we believe based solely on priceAt the time of
sale he signed the invoice which states (in Large Type and BOLD print) "All power equipment sales are FINAL, No Returns, No Exchanges"He then tried to return the generator it's original box, first stating it was defective then stating it did not meet his needsHe did not voluntarily tell us that the front of the generator was damaged after the saleIt was not until we removed the generator from the box that we discovered the damageHad this customer not used the generator for an entire week, returned the next day with a product in such condition that it could be resold as new we may have given such consideration to make an exception to our policy and credit him towards the larger more expensive unit that he now wantsAs a gesture of good will we would accept the smaller generator back on trade (not a return) as a used product that we would then resell as a used productIf he should decide to accept this offer and trade it in on a larger unit and it's condition is acceptable when traded we would credit him $towards the purchase of a larger unitAs we were given days to respond to his complaint which we feel was groundless, we will extend this offer for ten days from today 9/7/We did not mislead this customer in any way and he was told the output of both generatorsWe can not help that he based his purchase on price instead of his actual needs Thank You, *** *** G.M

I am rejecting this response because: this version of events is so full of half truths it's quite entertaining to say the leastI will not go at a tit for tat with the writerHowever I will address some inconsistenciesFirst I never said that the product was defectiveSecond I was upfront of the damage to the generator which consists of an approximate 2inch scratch mark on the lower right corner were it's hardly visible and quite a distance from the dials Third, I did not use it for a week and then try to return that just happened to be when I had time to return to the store as the weekend got in the wayI have a need for the generator for years to come not just for a weekIt's for my businessThe generator was purchased based on the misleading and misguided salesman recommendation which now I see they don't stand by their recommendation or their productDo to the arrogance of this business as well as the lack of professionalism and consumer interest, I will reject this offer $is a lot of money but I will take a loss before I spend another dollar in this business
