Stone House Development Inc

To understand my complaint with the Stone House Development, I ask that you please read the below letter I addressed to the Stone House Management Staff sent via USPS in July, 2013. The complaint has yet to be addressed:

"Stone House Development Management Staff:

I am writing with regards to my security deposit appeal initiated June, 2013.

I am a former resident of The Madison Mark, Apt 205.

My appeal was based primarily to contest the David

Benjamin Designs & Remodeling invoice totaling: $968.70 (charge applied toward apt 205)

In response to my appeal, [redacted] initiated a $295.00 reimbursement.

Because I still felt my argument was not being fairly considered, I dug a little deeper into David Benjamin Design & Remodeling Company.

I attempted to contact [redacted], of David Benjamin Designs at the provided phone number: [redacted] & email: [email protected]

My calls & emails were never returned.

I performed a basic Google search for David Benjamin

Design & Remodeling and I came up with nothing. No website… no yellow page listing… absolutely nothing.

I searched the address provided on the invoice: 7050 Frenchtown Rd Bellville WI 53508 and found the address is residential.

I became increasingly skeptical, so I performed a public case search via Wisconsin Circuit Court Access on [redacted] and came back with 27 cases filed within Dane County alone. The charges included lewd, lascivious behavior, multiple counts of operating with a revoked license, multiple small claims judgments, and possession of illegal drugs.

I then proceeded to do a public case search for [redacted] property manager, [redacted], and found 12 cases- including three (3) OWIs, multiple disorderly conducts, two (2) restraining orders, one (1) violation of a restraining order, and criminal damage to property.

I question not only the validity of the David Benjamin Designs operation but also the professional judgment of your real estate development and consulting firm.

This letter is to inform you of your questionable business practices.

A response is expected."

The Madison Mark is a high volume "luxury" apartment complex located downtown Madison, on the outer Capitol Square. Its residents range from newly graduated to retired residents, including many family units.

This matter began with a small claims protest but I believe it has valid and serious issues that need to be addressed. Documentation can be provided upon request.
