I am not filing a complaint as I resolved the issue myself by complaining to Paypal, however I feel compelled to help others avoid the same distress that I went through with Granite Makeover of the Triad At least the complainant got granite, possibly mine! This company essentially stole the granite I had picked out He swore my granite was cut to the template he made out of cardboard because he brought his car instead of his truck to get better gas mileage He kept ignoring our calls and texts and kept delaying our installation, all the while swearing he cut my slabs to our template I filed a dispute with paypal for my deposit, which I had paid four months prior, to get his attention Boy did that work! He said he would not install my "already cut to my template granite" to be paid in full unless I told PayPal my dispute was settled Yeah right! He had promised different install dates and delayed every time...and I should tell PayPal he did what he was supposed to and believe that he would show up on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend to finally do the install Now remember, he has had my deposit for months, "has the granite cut to fit" in my kitchen, wants me to believe he will show up (like 5th time is a charm) to install and I tell him do the install and I will pay you in full then tell Paypal it is resolved Hmmm ...At this point It all I want is my granite sent back to the wholesaler and I will have another fabricator install it It turns out that I can't get my granite back I am left to presume he used it on another job (shaped exactly like my custom kitchen) or he never cut it and will use it or sell it At the end of the day, I have to go and pick out new slabs that aren't as nice as the last lot I chose from in July No one should ever have to go through what I experienced

I, too, had a very similar situation as "Eve" Spoke with Phillip, back in June when he quoted the job He was "johnny on the spot" I texted or called and he responded right away! I gave him the exact quartz name that I wanted I even sent him a picture of the paperwork with the quartz name and lot number He came by, I signed a contract, and gave him a $deposit to purchase my quartz Fast forward a few months to September when we were ready to template I texted, I called, and no response When I finally got him on the phone and told him we would be ready the following week, his response was that we were on the calendar, so just call with an official date and they'd be right over I texted him with two day notification...no response Texted again once that day came and went (he wasn't answering phone calls either) and told him I would see him the next day Again, he provided no response Finally after several days of no response, I was heading to his office to demand our deposit back when he called and said he would be there the next day When he arrived, I politely let him know that his lack of communication was very concerning He was supposed to install countertops in a few bathrooms and a large kitchen After multiple texts and phone calls, he finally gives me an install date of October 12th The initial phone call for template was on September 18th So, almost a month later, we are so excited to finally see our rooms come together when we get a phonecall the night before install saying that he doesn't even have our quartz The same quartz he was supposed to buy back in June Not only does he not have it, but if he can acquire it, it's going to cost 50% more than the original price of the job Keep in mind, this was the night before install was supposed to happen We told him that we would like our deposit back Three weeks later, we finally received it after having to give him the total for what we had given him What kind of business depends on the customer for their financial record keeping? You couldn't pay me to use this company or recommend them

Inferior installation of granite countertops, broken pieces used, incorrect surface sealing causing stains that can not be removed on surface of granite

Precision Granite was hired to oversee and complete installation of new granite countertops in our bathrooms and kitchen along with replacement of kitchen cabinet doors Door replacement was to be followed by repair and painting of all cabinetry The start and completion of the the countertops in our bathrooms was repeatedly delayed with installation being piecemeal to say the least The quality of work in cutting the granite and installing the granite was way below standard in that there were large chunks of granite missing on edges and along sink overlay Efforts to repair these flaws was limited to fill in with epoxy The backsplashes cut incorrectly leaving gradient of width from 2-1/inches in some places In addition, the sinks were installed in a manner that it was not completely adhered to the granite and so unstable Finally, the openings for of the faucets were cut either too large or off center or blocked by sink installed too far back partially obstructing the

Under a contract, I have ordered granite kitchen countertops from this companyThe long piece of the granite behind the sink has been cut wavy and unevenly and has a horizontal gap from the wallAnother piece is too long and sticks further out of the rangethe 3rd piece next to the refrigerator has been notched wrong and is not even with the refrigerator panelThey have cut the sheetrock several places around the kitchen and have even pushed the refrigerator panel, causing it to separate from the wall and leave a gap there
All pieces need to be returned and refund the moneyThey have promised to do soBut, frequently postpone and delay the pick upMy house is in the market and I have no water in the kitchen to use

I am rejecting this response because:  1.  There was no cussing at or aggression toward the field representative.  He was worried about his safety from a 66 year old woman?????? 2.  The field representative admitted that the reason the stains appeared was due to the fact that the countertops were not adequately sealed in the first place.  His recommendation was to remove the stains and reseal correctly. 3.  The work did not get completed the last time the field representative was at my house, he did not even have all the tools, equipment or materials necessary to finish the repair. 4.  Representative was to be at my house at 2:00 PM and showed up at 8:30 PM. totally unprepared to perform the necessary work.  5.  Representative was originally notified that the stains appeared on or before 11/7/2017.  Representative has repeatedly not shown up or postponed work several times. 6.  The stains were not on the countertops at the time of installation but after continual use cooking and cleaning the stains  appeared and would not go away.   All the broken edges were not discovered until removal of the refrigerator and stove to get ready for a new floor. 7.  The field representative was told the last day at my house that he needed to either fix all these problems or just refund the purchase price for inferior workmanship.  He stated that he would consider the total refund.

paid and was satisfied. We will consider a partial refund because the countertops needed to be resealed according to the customer. We were unable to complete this due to the aggressive nature of the customer.
