Stone Pointe Apartments

My name is Ms. Thomas I live at StonePointe Apts, my car was broken into Friday when I went to my car the window was completely shattered. I called the 911 and got a police report I was devastated. Now I have to spend all this money to get my windows and car fixed. My car wouldn't start either. I went to the Rent office and spoke to the Manager Miche' Hunt I informed her of the incident. Basically she said it was not any thing she could do and she adv me to always call police and get a report and that the community should stop letting people in the building which clearly had nothing to do with my my car. She also said it its only 2 of them that works in the office meaning I would assume its only so much she could do. I asked her why don't we have security ? She said the police do drive around in the complex she was told. I informed her that there are no policemen surveilling this complex.. And that we need some type of security because this community has no gates so its not safe.. I told her that my insurance will be calling to get a copy of the report she said that probably would not do a anything because the camera don't watch one spot and they might not have it. She was very negative not showing any compassion on what had happen and clearly did not have any solutions . I also told her when I went out side I noticed another car had been broke into and the glass plate was shattered on the ground.. She didn't' really say anything. I thought it should be known to the apt community because normally when this happens in other communities a letter is sent out of incidents of crime but she didn't mention anything.. I hoping that this Manager will be trained to know when to take some kind of action and responsibility and act on it because being a Manager over a group of people is very important, especially when a crime is committed and lives could be at stake. Who knows what else may happen in this climate...I am expressing concern over our security and something more should be done..
