In response to the above matter, first my apologies for responding in a direct email.I have been trying to search how to respond on your website.Stone Tech has gone out and taken care of the area of concern for the clientbefore the end of the month of May.

Customer had sent a complaint due to delay of countertop being installed. A reduction of $500 for the final cost was agreed upon on 6/29/15 between customer and Stone Tech. During the conversation the customer never made any mention of filing complaint with the Revdex.com against Stone Tech. At the end of...

the conversation, a reasonable agreement was made between parties and resolved.

Review: On 6/5/2015 I went into contract with Stone-Tech Fabrication, Inc. to do the Quartz counter top for my kitchen. The template was done on 6/11/2015 as scheduled. Installation was confirmed for 6/22/15. On the day of the installation no one showed up. I made 2 phone calls by 12pm on the day of the installation to inquire about a time frame I should expect the installers. Cindy called me back at 1:41pm informing me that the slab of Quartz was not received by their store for cutting. I asked her why I wasn't informed about this earlier especially when I was on the schedule for installation. Also I took a day off work for this. I was told I will be informed when it's ready. I went down in person to the store on 6/23/2015 and spoke with Afrodite A[redacted] She informed me that Dino, the owner, will call me the next day. He never did. In the meantime I have no kitchen, no stove on which to cook. I made several calls to Stone Tech Fabrication, Inc. to follow up, all to no avail. Apparently, no one cares about my counter top besides me. The entire project costs $5,450.84 and I left a deposit of $3,250, which was required.Desired Settlement: I believe a fair and equitable resolution is a credit of half the remaining balance which equates to $1,100.42. NOT A STORE CREDIT. I came to this amount the following way: 1 day off work when the installer never showed up. Having to buy take out from 6/22/2015 until the day of the installation for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As of today, 6/26/2015, I don't know when the installation will be done.

Review: We purchased Granite countertop for our kitchen from Stone Tech in Trenton NJ on 02/01/2014. Stone Tech charged immediately our credit card with $3,000 deposit out of the just less than $5,000 bill for a high quality, expensive because it is rare granite, based on their sales person explanation. The countertop was installed on 03/17/2014 with delay. We are shocked by the unacceptable quality of the stone, from which the countertop is fabricated, and by the poor fabrication and installation job. Stone Tech was contacted immediately the next day regarding their product quality. Customer service was extremely unfriendly, unresponsive, uncaring and not willing to schedule an inspection of the defects. In two days the countertop installer, who works as a contractor for Stone Tech, was send to fix the installation defects, which cannot fix the major stone surface defects. As of today 03/24/2014, one week after the companys customer service was contacted, we still do not have a schedule for when a Stone Tech representative is going to examine the defects of the countertop and find a solution. I would not recommend Stone Techs product to anyone due to extremely poor quality and unpleasant, rude service.Desired Settlement: We see 3 options to resolve this issue:1.Full Refund since we do not believe that Stone Tech could offer any high quality stone2.Replacement of the complete countertop with at least 50% discount and lifetime. warranty rush fabrication and installation should be considered due to the tremendous delay of our kitchen project.3.Repolish the stone surface and if we accept it, 70% discount on the purchase with lifetime warranty should be granted.We will deeply appreciate Revdex.com help, cooperation and consideration in this matter.

Response:

[redacted] purchased stone Stone Tech and her order was processed exactly as all other orders are processed at Stone Tech. A payment was taken to secure the granite that [redacted] selected.

She was able to see her entire slab exposed prior to Stone Tech fabricating her countertop and was happy with the slab that she chose;

After the delivery of her stone, [redacted] contacted Stone Tech and asked to have a Stone Tech representative go to her house to look at her countertop. One of our technicians went to her house and reported back that there were no defects in the granite or the fabrication of the granite.

This answer was not to [redacted]'s satisfaction so she contacted Stone Tech again and asked to have another representative from Stone Tech come to the house. She was told that we would schedule to have someone go and that it would take about a week or so before someone could get out there again.

[redacted] yelled at several of the Stone Tech staff because she wasn't happy with the answer she was given, but the staff at Stone Tech treated her very professionally throughout her tirades.

Ultimately, two more representatives from Stone Tech went to [redacted]'s house and both agreed that her issues with the stone are due to the light reflecting off of her countertop. There is nothing in the stone that would be considered a defect.

All natural stones are unique, With pits, fissures, minerals, and other features. These features in stone become more or less noticeable when the position of the stone is changed or when lighting intensity is changed.

If there were any obvious defects in the stone, [redacted] would have seen them when she was at Stone Tech verifying her slab choice. Or, one of Stone Tech's shop technicians would have seen them when they were fabricating the stone.

In this case, there is nothing that Stone Tech feels was done wrong and we are very proud of the finished product that was installed.
