Complaint   #[redacted]The Complainant purchased a home from a third party (the “Seller”) on October 29, 2015.  Our company was the builder of the home for the party from which the Complainant purchased the home.  The complainant has a walkthrough, 30 day and 1 year punch list...

on said home.  We were not notified of a window leak until February 21, 2017 (after the builders one year warranty had expired).  As a courtesy, we sent our person to address this per her schedule February 23, 2017.  Then on March 16th we contacted complainant to follow up. We were told that there was still a problem. We let her know that we informed the supplier [redacted] Lumber and they would now be involved as this is point to address repairs and warranties.   We received word from [redacted] Lumber on April 24, 2017 that this has been resolved. This is the response Stonebridge Homes received from [redacted] Lumber: I sent our Service tech out to the house on 4/19 to address the kitchen window that was leaking.  We applied a back bead of silicone to the exterior on both of the sashes.  If there was a void at the glass area this would resolve the issue of any water.   As we were leaving the builder mentioned to our tech that the bedroom awning window was leaking as well.  We then applied a back bead of silicone to the exterior of this window which again if there was a void at the glass it would resolve the issue. At the time of our visit the sash that was ordered but was not in yet, so with more rain coming over the next few days applying the back bead of silicone would only help in her situation of alleviating water from further coming into the house.   We did not move forward on the window replacement due to the silicone our window technician applied seemed to have worked due to not hearing anything else.  If the homeowner would like the window replaced, the window is covered under the manufacturer warranty however the labor is not covered.   [redacted]Stonebridge Homes, Inc.Office Administrator[redacted]
