Stonecrest Apartments

Review: I have lived her for almost 2 years and it started out OK, it wasn't horrible but when Cornerstone took over the place fell apart. The manager is a conniving liar and the most unprofessional person that I have ever met. It took them over 3 months to fix our washer and almost two weeks to fix our dishwasher. It has now been fixed for over a month and the old dishwasher is still sitting outside my door. The management never pick up their phones and never return your calls. If you happen to get a hold of them they are rude and yell at you and tell you a bunch of crap that isn't true. They never take care of anything here like never plowing the parking lot, never fixing anything on the property and never being in the office to talk to any one.

The neighbors toilet has been running for long periods of time and the management has been informed on many occasions, but nothing is ever done about it. The property is falling apart and it just dirty and disgusting. Apartments are not well insulated and you feel cold air constantly coming in through the windows and doors. They are so lazy that they are taking away all our dumpsters but one big one at the top of the hill because they do not want to empty the dumpsters. The "memo" they wrote to inform us that this was happening was the most unprofessional condescending "memo" I have ever read. It was written in all caps and it threatened to fine anyone that did not place their garbage in the right spot. I for one am not walking my garbage all the way up the hill to that nasty garbage compactor, especially when there is a foot of snow on the ground and they do not bother to plow the parking lot.

My husband and I have missed several days of work over the course of living here due to not being able to make it out of the parking lot because they do not plow and put down deicer. Also, they say they patrol the parking lots, but they do not. Almost all the time there are at least 4 cars just in our section of our parking lot that do not live here and there is already a limited amount of parking as it is. My husband's car was broken into twice and stolen and stripped from the parking lot and the manager just laughed and said there was nothing they would do about it. Then went so far as to use the same excuse to tell us that is why they never showed up to fix something. The manager is a crook, a liar, and unprofessional and needs to be fired along with the management company.

I tracked down the owner and they are nice people, but nothing really came out of talking to them.Desired Settlement: I would like for the current manager to be fired and replaced with someone that actually cares and is professional.

McCathren Management does not manage Stonecrest Apartments and has not since July 2012. This complaint needs to be directed to Cornerstone Property Management.
