Review: I signed a contract on 04/16/2014 to have a five hour wedding ceremony/reception, 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Stonecroft on 09/13/2014. The total fee paid for this was $531.75. This contract was breached by the owners of the Inn in many ways the day of the wedding. Included in the cost was, "Use of linens and service ware, wine and water glasses." When it came time for dinner, which it was known that we were having Prime Rib and Chicken, there were no steak knives available to our guests. In previous meeting with the owners and our caterer, our caterer inquired about the functionality of the ovens. She had done weddings previously at Stonecroft and had issues with the ovens. We were told by the owners that 2 out of 3 were working. This ended up not being true and our guests were served cold food. We were told by the owner to keep the music level down so we didn't disturb other guests. At 8:55 pm we were told by the owner that the song playing would be the last song. The owners then proceeded to yell at our caterer, saying that they should have been cleaned up and gone by 9:00 pm. This is not what was in the contract and it was not what was agreed upon. Our reception was to last until 9:00 pm, and then we would clean up. Our guests left in a timely fashion and the owners stormed in beginning to clean up. Personal irreplaceable items were thrown away from our head table. As soon as all of our belongings were out of the dining room, the doors were locked, the lights were turned off and we were thrown out. They never asked if we were all set or if we had everything. My husband and I had also paid for a room for the night, $212.75. We used the room to get ready for the wedding and that was it. We were so appalled by the way we had been treated that we didn't even feel comfortable staying there for the night. We got our belongings and left. I sent a 3 page letter to the owners explaining our dissatisfaction in detail, certified return receipt, on 09/16/2014. It was received and signed on 09/17/2014. It is now 10/14/2014 and I have yet to hear from them.Desired Settlement: We are looking for a full refund in the amount of $744.50. We feel that we were treated unjustifiably poor. We would like to be able to use the money to hold another smaller reception for our family and friends where we can guarantee they will get a hot meal.
