This business I have used in the past (2012) and liked their work. In 2015, I found out the owner changed but was assured they would honor the estimate previously quoted in 2014 and do the same work the previous owner said they would which was great. Part of that is for an extra charge, before starting the refinish the previous owner promised to remove and replace the faucets being as how I do not know how to do that nor have the tools. The new owner arrived to my home and stated he will try. As he worked he realized without letting me know once he stripped the screw (he said it was already stripped), the faucet was difficult and he may have difficulty putting it back on as it was. I assured him I have a plumber who is coming out in two weeks anyway (pretty much telling him I will cover the cost on top of what I had paid him already to replace the faucet). The worker then completed the refinish after 9.5 hours (they advertise 5-7 hours) to which I expressed satisfaction but he then could not stop both faucets from leaking. He managed to stop one to the point where he left the faucet half replaced and the other not replaced at all but admitted the screw was stripped however not leaking. Thus, he left without ensuring in the master bathroom, furthest away from the main water line, had completely stopped leaking.
Consequently, the leak started up and the under faucet took on water all night. I found the result the next morning (large amount of water on particle board and now has a hole) and was, needless to say, anxious and upset. It required calling a plumber that next day who came and repaired the faucet but stated the under faucet now had water damage. I have contacted this owner but they have failed to take responsibility for not ensuring this paying customer know he is not skilled in replacing all faucets at the time the work was agreed upon. He did clarify the charges because I thought I had overpaid him and restated what he we had already discussed at the time, but I was still unhappy with the lack of acceptance of responsibility for not ensuring a customer understand that they will not be able to replace all faucets as expected only because they were not going to turn away $45 charge to remove.
In my book they should advertise they will remove but not replace any faucet fixture in order to ensure their potential customers have complete understanding of their ability or at least write a waiver that since they are not experienced in plumbing ("I am not a plumber" I was told after all was said and done) then they need to clearly say how they will work with customers on this issue in order to get the extra job done right. Last, they advertise 2 year warranty in their work but the new owner said that is wrong and honors one year warranty which is not clearly communicated on their website. The website still states 2 year warranty as of the date this is written (4/1/15).
