Stoneware Enterprises Inc Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I want to inform you that I was convinced by [redacted] to pay the balance due to the store because he promised me to have the installation done between Dec. 12-15, contradict to their statement that my concern is having it done for Christmas. I printed my T-mobile statement which shows a continued follow up calls on them. I will make another response tomorrow and attached the statement. They ask me to wait for their call before the store closes but they never did. We were made to believe that they will come again on the 20th as promised by the Owner. After several dates of postponement on their side I came to realize to cancel the contract. I wrote a complaint to Revdex.com and called to ask for an update, I was advised for me to call [redacted] agency because the person from Revdex.com who helped me verified that this Company doesn't have any License to install. Employee of the [redacted] agency confirmed to me during my call that said store are not licensed to install; instead, they advised me not to let them in to my house. Upon learning that, I went around to find a store which ha s a license because I don't want to be at risk just in case.I hope you find myself clear. Thank you. Regards, [redacted]

Attn Revdex.com,In reply to customer complaint #[redacted] , we do wish to respond. The facts are that on 11/20/16 , this customer did select and pay a deposit to hold the slabs of granite for her house. She paid a deposit of 2,700.00$ to hold them. We removed the very ones she selected and held them...

until she was ready.  Through poor communication on both parts, our fabricator [redacted] arrived  to make the template a week after her hoped for date of the 28th. This was on the5th of Dec.Please bear in mind that the customer had verbalized from the start that her concern was having her kitchen done for Christmas. The template is unique to the kitchen for which it is made. Once cut, it is trash to anyone else. For this reason, no granite fabricator will cut the stone without it being paid in full. OnDec 7, just 2 days later, we had the customer meet us at the store with [redacted]'s template to place the various template pieces where the customer liked them. This is a unique process as it means that the customer has all the  different pieces placed where she alone likes them in relationship to the pattern of colors on each stone.  At this time the customer paid the balance of 2559.00$ and signed the attached invoice. The customer was told that once the slabs were cut, they were hers. Up until that point she could have cancelled the sale with no penalty. It is important to know that the customer mentioned that she would like to have her job done in mid Dec. We could easily have accommodated her, as it takes a half day to install the new counter-top, we just needed her to call and set up which day.  She didn't call and just sat at home  simmering with anger for [redacted]. Meanwhile, after the material was paid for and the layout completed onDec 7, [redacted] picked up the stone slabs and began the work. It takes a solid week to 10 days to do the cutting, laminating, grinding and polishing. This alone takes us to Dec 17.  As the customer said , we set up the job for Dec 20. This turned out to be a rainy day and you don't carry slippery , 1,000 pound objects in those conditions or you may get somebody killed or the material broken. The customer was furious and demanded someone other than [redacted] install the completed work into the kitchen. We therefore had to get a different installer to come out to place the completed work into her house. [redacted] could have been there the day after the rain but the replacement fabricator wasn't  available till the 23rd , just two days later.   He arrived on the morning of the 23rd . The woman's husband  met him outside and said that his wife wanted to cancel. She had in fact, already filed this complaint on the original rainy day of the 20th. She refused our offer of a large discount although she was largely at fault. She was her own worst enemy. When a customer says they want an installation on any hard date, they are scheduled and they are done on that date.  When they give us vague generalities of an installation date, they are told to call us when they have the exact date.  We do not just drop in on people. She was not scheduled because she did not schedule. Her job was ready for installation before the 17th. Please note that the 17th is a week before Christmas. Given that her slabs are custom cut and fabricated , her kitchen granite is trash to anyone else.  It would not be fair for us to be stuck with a total loss because the lady has issues.       Respectfully , [redacted]. Director, Stoneware enterprises

Attn Revdex.com,The customer says she paid the balance because [redacted] promised the installation between the 12th and 15th. We had no conversation scheduling on which date to install. We don't just drop in.She did tell us that her priority was Christmas.   If there was confusion, it was on her part. She paid the balance not because [redacted] promised a particular date, rather, she paid it as no one in their right mind would start cutting up slabs for a custom kitchen unless those slabs are paid for. She selected the layout on 12/7/16 and signed for that layout. The copy of her approval is attached herewith. On 12/22/16 she complained about the delays so she came in for a settlement but changed her mind.At that time we showed her all of our license information which is all in order .     If she still had issues when we arrived to do the installation, our contractor carried his licence and bond information and could have shown them on the spot but the customer chose this deceptive course to get out of our contract. The promised installation date was the 20th which was a rainy day. The installer sat outside her house with the completed kitchen  on the 23rd. Maureen did not come out to tell the contractor she changed her mind and she just sent her husband.  We are attaching a copy of the license. At this point, we just want to be done with this person. We have a legal right to pursue the entire amount of this contract, however, we will settle for the amount of the slabs only. The slabs are $ 1552.50, the tax is $ 124.20 and thereby the total is $ 1676.70. We will settle for that. The slabs that are cut for her kitchen are her property. We will hold them for up to six months before we dispose them. I think this is much more than reasonable.        Respectfully , [redacted].Director, Stoneware Enterprises, Inc.
