On May 6, 2018 I was involved in an accident. I called Stonewood Insurance to report the accident soon after. Stonewood proceeded to ask me questions and I answered to the best of my knowledge. Stonewood Rep asked me how many people resided in my household. Upon answering him, he became frustrated with my answer as to letting him know I had 2 younger siblings over the age of 14. He then told me he would contact me later to set up an appointment to see the damage of my vehicle. On May 21, 2018 I received a letter from National General stating they were unable to fulfil my claim due to me not disclosing my younger siblings. I am frustrated because they never asked me for this information before hand. Once, the accident occurred the question of the siblings were asked and they washed their hands from this accident soon after. They cut me a check for $522.24 and stated my policy had been rescinded and put back to inception. I later recd an invoice on Dec. 26, 2018 from the other drivers Insurance company for the amount of $*** this is the amount that Stonewood did not cover due to the accident.
I would like Stonewood to follow through with this claim and pay the amount of damage reported by the other driver. I had coverage during this accident and not until the accident happened my coverage was dropped.
Having an insurance is important but it depends who's providing and how good it is. But if you pay as my bank statement shows it, regularly. But I expected more, as seen in my regularity I made a payment expecting they would take the payment like they use to(they took only a portion so it would appear I made an incomplete payment). So if you are not paying attention you will get ripped off. This is a modus opprandi by letting you have a left over account to pay so that they will have something to come after you for as long as you are with them,and it would appear legal. Because of that the monthly will rise like mine. My question is why did they take only a portion of my payment since my full payment is more than what they are taking? my bank is not empty. Knowing I get paid the next day. It is not a good service, my former insurer does not do this,once I paid my overdue they don't charge me of late fee anymore and my monthly goes back in the regular. Not with stonewood insurance. They continue to charge me of overdue amount monthly, making me pay more for two old cars.

Refund They should remove the old account due us, the problem was initiated by them because I paid them in full but they only take a portion to make me pay more in over dues and reinstatement fees. Stop the reinstatement fees and put me back to regular monthly fees.
