Ms. [redacted] will not be receiving any apology from us. Her story is full of inaccuracies and is a distortion of the truth. According to two employees and as stated in report to police ***'s friend [redacted] arrived to the facility intoxicated and became hostile with our staff. He was rude,... disrespectful and threatening to our employees on staff that evening which led to the police being called and both individuals were consequently removed and barred from the premises. I'm surprised by this complaint by Ms. [redacted] because according to employees present that evening she seemed embarrassed and apologetic for her friend's behavior. There should be no confusion in regards to the loading dock. [redacted] claims she was never informed that the loading dock was unavailable for use after office closing hours at 6pm, but in fact she and [redacted] were specifically told that by Sam when they came by the office while he was closing down. That is when Sam observed [redacted] to be under the influence. Sam apologized but did offer them a moving cart - carts are usually locked up after office hours - to assist them with moving things out of their storage unit using the pushing doors that remained opened in the storage warehouse until 9pm. At first Sam states [redacted] became upset and began raising his voice. He later calmed down and insisted on offering Sam money (two dollars) while Sam unlocked the moving cart for their use. After Sam refused the money, again [redacted] became upset using profane language demanding Sam take his money. Sam finally did take the money in hopes of containing the situation. Before leaving the facility Sam admits he mistakenly forgot to lock the electronic roll-up door to the loading dock. He claims this mistake was mainly due to his confrontation with [redacted] distracted him from his closing routine. Regardless, [redacted] and [redacted] were verbally told by Sam the electronic loading doors were not available to be used after 6pm which they both understood and agreed to. However, after departing, Sam received a call from our on-site custodian that the loading dock was wide open and being used by both [redacted] and ***. Our security manager, John, first responded to the site and informed the individuals they were not authorized to use the electronic roll-up gates and that the loading dock was unavailable after office hours. [redacted] lied to John claiming she was given permission by Sam. [redacted] again became belligerent and hostile towards our Security manager threatening to call friends over to vandalize the building. Consequently police were called and both individuals were removed from the premises and their contracts with us were immediately terminated. We placed overlocks on their storage units and blocked there access for the remainder of the evening and allowed them to come back the next morning to vacate their units in which they did. We consider this matter close and have no interest in entertaining the false claims of these individuals and further. Note: [redacted] was also belligerent with the cops who arrived on scene. He claimed he was an FBI agent working for the government under cover.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Sam might have told *** about the loading docks but never did he say anything to me. In fact closing down does not say to me that this inc**des the loading dock. It means the office is closing along with getting carts to move items. When I first signed up they ran out of paper in their printer and said they could not give me a copy of the house rules of the facility. So it came as a shock that the dock was locked and unavailable when the facility is open for patrons until closing at 9. *** was never told not to use the loading docs and to only use the glass doors. Never was I told this by SamI said Sam said it was ok to use the carts and move. It was taken out of context. Again I was not aware that the docks were not to be used. So moving means the loading docks. I don't get why let people in to their units but not be able to move without the convenience of using the loading docks.
I was not removed from the facility. No one ever asked me to leave at all. No police or staff spoke with me and told me to leave. I was forced to move items by myself that were extremely heavy back to the unit and while doing this the police and staff were focused on *** and I was left alone. My contract was never terminated. If it was, then I was never officially notified at all by phone, in person or mail or email. No one notified me of the lockout prior to it being done.
We received harassing calls from the owner Chris U** the night of this problem wanting *** to come back to storage to talk (in a threatening manner) and that MrU** was going to burn our items in the unit. At one point MrU** claimed he was a Chinese take out. He called my phone and ***'s phone. We also tried to the number back at the police request to get his identity. I called the number the next day in the morning and asked for MrChris U** to which he responded this is he and I said thank you and hung up. I have a recording of this. It was the same phone number that the harassing calls came from the night before.
This behavior is highly unethical and unprofessional. I am not disputing *** being belligerent. I am speaking about the fai**re of the staff to provide the rules to *** when the unit was first rented and in any subsequent visits, speaking lies about having not only *** but *** removed when no one ever approached her or said anything about her removal to her, about the threats and harassing calls from the owner MrChris U** to us, speaking about the lie of how Sam told *** about the loading dock not available but to use the glass doors, about the lie that *** said that Sam said it was ok to do with the loading dock, about the fai**re of the staff to notify *** about the contract termination and the lockouts. Since the unit was under the name of ***, she should have been told all of this that is being claimed by the business.
Sincerely,
*** ***
