Review: On June 1, 2013, I moved out of the storage unit I was renting from Storage Depot. I was told I would not be charged for June. I have all documentation showing my move out date. I was billed $128.78 for the month of June. I called mid June and spoke with an associate and was told my move out was not entered, but it was now and I would receive a credit to my credit card. At the end of July, I received my June credit card statement showing no credit. I called and spoke with [redacted] (she is the one who told me I would not be charged for June) and she stated she would speak with her accountant and call me back. No return call received. I got my July statement and called again and left a message that if no credit was received I would be contacting your agency. I received no credit on my next statement. I have now paid three months of interest on the amount of $128.78.Desired Settlement: I would like to see a credit in the amount of $128.78 on my credit card. I also would like either an additional credit to my credit card or payment made to me by cash or check in the amount of $24.24. I paid $7.61 in interest for June, $8.00 in interest for July and $8.63 in interest for August. This is the only balance on my credit card subject to interest. I have all needed documentation.

Storage Depot has received notice from the Revdex.com that **. [redacted] is requesting a refund for rent paid on June 1st, 2013, Our property manager [redacted], spoke with the customer and told her that she would look into the matter and speak with the account if needed, **. [redacted] left a message for **. [redacted] letting her know in July that she would not receive a refund. It was determined through an investigation performed by **. [redacted] that **. [redacted] was still in ownership of the account on June 1 when the auto billing was paid. The lock remained on the unit until June 3rd when unit [redacted] (**. [redacted]'s unit) was then vacated from the property and correctly moved out the computer system. When **. [redacted] was moving out of the unit she was told that the lock needed to be removed to be broom sweep by the last day of May for her not to be charged for June's rent.

I have included a copy of the lease that **. [redacted] signed at move in stating that she understood all of the terms and conditions of leasing the space. Please look specifically at section 7 of termination, which reads:

7. TERMINATION: FIFTEEN (15) DAYS ADVANCED WRITTEN NOTICE GIVEN BY OWNER OR OCCUPANT TO THE OTHER PARTY WILL TERMINATE THIS TENANCY. OWNER DOES NOT PRORATE RENT - ONLY FULL MONTHS' PREPAID RENT SHALL BE RETURNED TO OCCUPANT WITHIN FIFTEEN (15) DAY OF VACATING THE UNIT. OCCUPANT MUST LEAVE THE SPACE BROOM CLEAN AND IN GOOD CONDITION, OCCUPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DAMAGES.

Also please see the enclosed tenant notes showing that the tenant did not vacate the unit until June 3rd. It is our policy to do full property audits daily. The last day and the first day of a month being the most critical time, this ensures that our customers are accurately charged. If the lock was unit vacated either the evening of the 31st (prior to 5pm), or the morning of the 1st (priorto 10am), the customer would not have been auto billed. It is our responsibility, and the integrity of our company to make sure that we are confident that all move out's were completed prior to the billing of our customers.
