Storage On The Run Reviews (2)

I needed my items in storage moved to my new apartment on a day I had specifically taken off work for this reason After waiting an hour after the designated delivery time I called storage on the run to find out where they were and had to continue calling for an hour before they responded It has taken over hours since that phone call and my items have still not arrived after several promises that they would be here within the next minutes They have told me their truck had been broken down but give very vague details on where my items are and when they will be arriving I am over all incredibly upset with this business and their conduct After reading up on reviews I have found they have given the same run around to other people who have used their services

DO NOT use this company!!! My husband and I were moving and needed to store our items because we didn't have enough storage space at our new place (this was a year ago)Fast forward a year later, July 2016, and we are in the transition of another moveWe called Storage on The Run (Dakota is the one who answers and that's if he even answers) to have our things delivered to our new home, only to find multiple, some irreplaceable, items destroyed (a month old large BBQ pit missing knobs AND the rubber starter button almost cut in half ($300), a large workout mat split in half (we pointed that out when they were putting it in our garage and their response, sorry, we folded it in half and it split down the middle ($100)) and broken picture frames ($100)) and items missing (a weight bar ($150) and about $in weights (I'm not sure how you can "lose" those), large mirrors ($300), large art work ($200) and we are scared to start going through our bins, which were also destroyed, to see what else went "missing"
When we called them up to discuss all of the destroyed and missing items, mind you it took about phone calls to Dakota (voicemail or run around from him every time) with the last being we will file a police report if we don't hear back and within seconds of leaving that message we get a call from James (owner), coincidence?!? We explain to James our findings and he says we have to file a missing claims report and to include pictures of all the items before and after (no, we didn't take pictures before as we didn't see THIS ever being an issue)So, we ask what form we need to complete and James tells us to just write a letter (yeah, because that professional, shouldn't you have a standard form?!)My husband proceeds to tell him we want to be paid for our missing items and after back and forth conversations, James wants to "give us $350" (of the $1500+ missing and/or destroyed), is he serious?! James finally says the most he can do is $700, because they are going out of business (which I don't believe the are)We settled as we didn't see this going anywhere and we'd spent more money taking them to small claims courtNeedless to say, we hope they are going out of business so they can't continue scamming anyone elseThey are dishonest thieves!
