The customer rented a 10' truck from our facility and was made aware that the gas must be replaced to the level that it dispatched or there would be a fuel charge as well as service fee. That level was...
noted on her paperwork in 2 different sections as was service fee. When truck was returned it was 1/8 below what it was dispatched at. We cannot confirm that customer did or did not put any gas in, we must go by the fuel level from dispatch and return. The charges for her fuel were $20.00 service charge and $12.00 for fuel, which would be $4.00 per gallon for 3 gallons. I do not know where she got the $52.00 figure from but the additional charge was only $32.00. We take great care in making all of our cuatomers of all charges for truck rentals and also make them aware that they MUST refuel vehichles to proper level or they will be charged accordingly as per contract.
Review: I rented a 10' truck, drove 10 miles total, put in 2 gallons of gas, returned truck after a few hours.
Was told I drove 17 miles and was short 4 gallons of gas. Was told they charged me for "only 3 gallons of gas."Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of any gas charges plus tax. Even if I drove the 17 miles they said I did and they put in 3 gallons of gas, I believe their truck gets more than 5 miles/gallon. My total bill was $100.13 which is excessive for what I used it for.
