I am rejecting this response because*** authorized a lock cute, she offered to charge me $to do soThe lock cutting service was NOT provided (I have the operational lock and keys to prove it) therefore my monies should be refundedMy receipt reflects "lock cut." You cannot accept money for a service and then not provide the service and then turn around and keep my money because your employee initiated the lock cut in the first placeI have attached a copy of the receipt dated 10/27/(I WAS PAID UP UNTIL 10/28/which was the day that I had to be "moved out" otherwise I would be charged and additional monthMy code was deactivated on 10/27/and I didn't have access to the unitI did not enter my unit for two weeks (the duration that my belongings were stored) until the day I moved out on 10/18/which is also the day I signed the form informing Storage Solutions that I was moving outI did alert the man working in the office that SAME day that there were roaches on my boxes

Once the customer/tenant takes possession of the storage unit, she has accepted it ‘as is’, we do not have access to her unit thereafterIf she truly was concerned about the roaches at time of move in, she could have insisted we move her to another unit or not move her inOnce a person becomes a
tenant, we do not have access to their unitWe do have access to the outdoor areas and have no control over what happens inside a person’s unit, for all we know she could have had something in her boxes that attracted the roachesOur pest company comes out once a month to take care of any bug issues on siteOur policy, lease and forms clearly state everything, all of which she did signHere’s part of our ‘Intent To Move Out’ form, it states, the customer should not forget to take their lock off their unitI will: ………Vacate the space no later than the close of office business hours on the last paid thru date of my RENTAL AGREEMENTOccupant MUST notify the manager the day of vacatingRemember to remove and take your lockAgree that if I have not vacated by my paid-through date I am liable for an additional month’s rent, which I must pay in advance and continue to pay in advance each and every month thereafterI do hereby release all rights (at move out) to the property known as Space No______ ………This is in our lease: ………but is simply a landlord renting the above-mentioned Storage Space in which Occupant can store items of personal property owned by Occupant, that the Storage Space shall be under the exclusive control of Occupant ………A signed vacate notice is required days prior to move outForms are available at the officeRemember to leave the Space broom clean, remove your lock, and notify the Manager you have done so………

Storage Solutions Elk Grove, CA Response: Response to 1.: The company has determined the cut lock was not done and is refunding [redacted] the $25.00 for this procedure.  I called former tenant about this situation and she said this situation was resolved. Response to 2: Once the customer/tenant takes possession of the storage unit, she has accepted it ‘as is’, we do not have access to her unit thereafter.  We do have access to the outdoor areas and have no control over what happens inside a person’s unit.  Our pest company comes out once a month to take care of any bug issues on site.
