I recieved a forclosure notice just prior to July 4,2013 on a storage unit with storage max, [redacted]. I want to stop this action.I've been paying on this storage unit [redacted], for the past 19 months,and my records show a missed month last Feb. I thought everything was fine, until just before July 4,2013, when I recivied a certified letter saying I was in arreares for $445.00. I called them and they said they were bought by a new co. and they seem to add interest like a bad credit card co. I knew nothing of this new mgt. & storage max say's they did what was legal, but I'm not so sure. I called and sent another $100.00 just last week and asked them if they could help me stave off the auction and I was met with silence, as if they will auction if I'm only $20.00 in arrears, they don't really want the money, they want the contents of the shed, very much like a tow lot. I want to pay them their money before the deadline, but they don't seem interested in good faith communications and payments, I'm afraid I'll be day late and a dollar short, and they still go to auction and make big profit on me only a little behind. They just don't seem interested in telling me what they need to stop thier sale of all my stuff. I want to play ball with them,pay them, so I don't have this constant worry of where I'll get the money, I'm a student and can't find a part time job quite yet.I still have my original contract, but I wasn't aware of storage max being under new mgt. They could have trid to at least call me, they had my #. I only ask for breathing room, I'll never do business with them ever again, she said she was not done adding in my penalties yet for a payment I made the week before. 20% on so a contract I did not sign on to.Desired Settlement I just want storage max to understand I'm doing my level best to comply with them, being unaware that the script was flipped without my knowledge.My letter last week ststed I would do my best, But I fear it fell on deaf ears. I don't know what to do, I've never been in a situation as this. I want someone to call them and maybe ask for their patience, I'll make good with them, but I'm deathly afraid that they don't want to, and they don't have to.
