Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/13) */
Storm Shelter Plus is only the contractor who picks up the shelter. The leasing company that the payments were in default with sends out the work order and we go pick up the shelter. We picked the shelter up on Friday the 7th. Our offices are...

closed on Saturday, Sunday. Our sales lot is not open on Mondays and I ([redacted]) was on vacation on Monday the 10th. I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] on Tuesday and made arrangements with her to get her personal belongings out of the shelter the same day. We understand the situation is trying for the customer, but all other avenues were tried first.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was able to retrieve my belongings from the shelter. However I have no resolution to the items that are now missing from my property. I had 3 archery targets and large concrete pavers that are now gone. Had I had proper notification that they were coming to dig up my shelter I would have moved my belongings away from there. However NO NOTICE WAS GIVEN OF ANY KIND. The finance company informed me that the company they contracted to come take the shelter should have called at least 24 hours in advance. If the manager wasnt around that isnt my fault. Someone dropped the ball. And now I am out the targets. It is my belief the targets were taken or everything is buried in the ground where the sheller was. The targets were stacked behind it and the pavers were all down both sides. I am willing to let the issue with the pavers go. But I would like to be reimbursed for the last archery targets. There were two Morrell Yellow jacket bag targets valued at 50.00 each and one 3d Field Logic Buck target valued at 100.00. I want these items replaced or reimbursed for them so I can get more. I shoot in an archery league and need these. I think this is a fair settlement and am not asking to replace the pavers.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/20) */
Our company or any of its personel did in no way remove, take, steal, pillage, plunder, bury, hide, or get the above
mentioned items from the afore stated property. We are not at liberety in this juncture of the transaction listed above to release monies for damages claimed by the customer. We would find it to be a reasonable offer in lieu of payment for replacement of the listed items, to deduct the totals of such items from the outstanding balances of the foresaid shelter.
I would presume that this suggested transaction will be to no avail and suppose this be as settled today as it has been for the prior year. It is my belief this situation could have been advoided as simply as paying in a timely manner to the signed contract by the customer. This will be my last response.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2015/08/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is not acceptable as my debt is not with you or your company but with the finance company. You have no ability to deduct anything from my outstanding debt. I do believe your business had everything to do with the disappearance of my personal property. No one else was there and items of zero value are still present. That being said since you will take no responsibility and not try to settling with me out of court or in anyway that would make us both happy, or even talk to me to try to resolve this then I will move forward with negative reviews (and I will do it on an regular basis, making sure they stay posted) and file in small claims court OR induce a lien against you and your business.
