Prior to receiving this complaint, we met with Mrs*** on 3/22/regarding her concernsMuch to Mrs***'s credit, there were several things that went wrong with her job initiallyThe day we tore off her roof it rainedOur siding subcontractor performed a less than satisfactory jobThe
crew that rebuilt a portion of her deck left their debris behindEach problem we addressed immediately and with integrityUnfortunately I believe that her initial disappointments are driving her current complaintsThose subcontractor's no longer employed by Storm Solutions.Mrs*** owns a story deckHer deck has started to decay by rot and she asked us to repair a couple of areas of her deck that she was concerned aboutShe did not want to fix the entire rotting deck, she just wanted a band-aid because she was moving and wanted to save moneyWe quoted an agreed upon price and repaired the specified areasWe were contracted to repair lf of deck handrail, remove and replace deck stairs, replace some rotten boards, then stain the deck.Mrs*** paid us a total of $2,of which $1,was allocated for stain aloneThis leaves $1,for repairsWe charged her $to repair the deck handrail and $to remove & replace the existing stairs and a couple of areas of rot.Once we completed the above listed items, we returned to Mrs***'s house on three separate occasions to fix additional rot which we did not charge her forShe continues to call us as the deck decays and expects us to be responsible for continued maintenance of her rotting deck, which we were not contracted to do.When we met with her on 3/22/16, she complained about our nail holes that were not filled in with puttyWe made it a point to show her how the rest of her existing nail holes were not filled in with putty and asked her why she was holding us to a different standard than the existing work.To address her specific recorded complaint to the Revdex.com, the splitting board was new lumber purchased at the time of installationHer deck will continue to deteriorate by rot as we can not stop decayWe rebuilt the existing staircase and the handrail does have some give to it because it is not attached to the house by designUpon examination, we did not find the staircase to be wobbly.On 3/22/we offered to bring in a neutral contractor, which Mrs*** knows, to look at her deck and to assess her complaintAt that time, she agreed and now we are receiving this complaint.Lastly, Mrs*** refused to pay us, even though 95% of her job had been completedShe made it clear to us at that time that she would not pay us until she was completely happy with the jobShe paid us in full on 7/22/15.We have tried to be reasonable with Mrs***We returned on three occasions to do additional repairs at no charge to her in hopes that it was going to make her happy
