VERY DISAPPOINTED in Stove Kings service! Paid Dale with a credit card over the phone ($280) for parts a month ago, and still no parts-- and they wont return my calls or email regarding the status!! I contacted Jotul ( parent company of my Stove Mfr), and they recommended I contact the Revdex.com tomorrow, and take legal action. Furios!!!! Buyer beware!!!

I received a defective fireplace blower motor. The company will not return my emails or phone calls to prices process the exchange as per their policyOrder was place on Jan 23rd 2014. Order number number [redacted] For a fireplace blower. Coat [redacted] plus shipping. Part was found to be defective when installed. I emailed the company 4 times without response then called and was told by an employee that they received all emails and the owner is aware but "I can't make him call you" (meaning the employee can't make his boss return my emails or call.) I tried to follow their policy for Exchange and need authorization to exchange but the owner will not return emails or phone calls.Desired SettlementI wound like stoveking.com to replace the defective part they shipped me.Business Response Due to the nature of our online business, that of, selling replacement stove parts and fireplace parts, we do not take responsibility for installation of repair parts.On 2/8/14 we received a email from Mr [redacted] stating "upon installation of the blower it had sparked and shut off." Asking us to return the blower because it was defective. The likely scenario which took place is the new blower part purchased was in good working condition before Mr [redacted] improperly tried to replaced the component. Please note Stove King recommends having such repair work done by hearth professionals whom are familiar with repairs of these products.All parts are tested by the manufacturer to confirm good working condition before leaving the factory. Therefore, it is highly unlikely we ever ship defective parts to our customers. Also note Stove King Inc only purchases parts through such manufacturers.Thank You[redacted] Stove King Inc.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The part was properly installed. It is not rocket science. As I originally stated, I put back the original blower and it did not spark. The procedure was a simple swap not requiring any outside contractor. Stove king does not state on its website that products must be installed by a professional or the warranty/refund process would be voided. As a consumer there should be a way to protect myself from faulty workmanship and/or poor quality control. I expect to be able to exchange the blower. Although, I would be fine with a full refund at this point. Final Business Response Fact is, the unit was not properly installed. it is not as easy as unplugging and plugging in a new one, this mis-understanding is what has caused the blower to be shorted out in the first place. Stove King simply facilitates parts orders, what the consumers do with the parts is up to them, we cannot take responsibility for installation of the parts we sell.
