RE: Complaint ID #***I am responding to the letter our office received today regarding a complaint from*** ***She was looking for her deposit back for a house she wrote acontract on to be purchasedMs*** did not qualify for the loan so the deal fellthrough.I am the accounting
manager here and I cannot release funds until a Cancellation andRelease form is signed by all partiesIt is illegal for me to release these funds until Ihave thisI did talk with Ms*** for the first time on ThursdayI know she said shecontacted our office over times but I am the only one who issues checks andThursday was the first she had contacted myselfI then called the attorneys office andthe Realtor who was handling this dealThey both confirmed that I still needed 1signature which was *** ***, one of the sellers of the property(Long Story short,a divorcing couple and one of the parties would not sign) I know Ms*** statedthat *** had signed but this is also false.I did explain this all to Ms*** on Friday and she understoodThe final signaturewas received Friday and the check was cut to Ms***I understand Ms***frustrations but our hands were tied until I had all parties sign the release formShewas a very nice woman after talking to her and I just wish she would have called ouroffice just once so I could have explained the procedures our office has to legally followbefore her deposit could be returned.All is resolved but thank you for contacting our office.Diana S*Accounting Manager***-
