[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is accepted, but not satisfactory Regarding the $charge they should have notified me when I made my appointmentThat has nothing to do with my insurance company! That was their fault and I should have been toldIf I were, I never would have made the appointment with themI have never heard of anything so ridiculous as a prespricption fee, it sounds like a scam and an underhanded practice, especially when the doctor is in my networkWhen I go for a check- up, my physician does not charge me a fee for writing a script!!! My insurance company did nothing wrongIt was their responsibility to disclose all fees when an appointment is madeAlso, I was only made aware of " [redacted] " when my insurance company called and challenged them. The only reason I am accepting their offer is that I live on a fixed income Yours truly, [redacted]

Spoke with the patient on 2/15/after receiving the complaintDiscussed what happened initially on the date of service in question and what the insurance company had informed usAsked the patient if we could resolve the issue by meeting her halfwayWe would refund the patient $so that
her out of pocket would be $which was what we had told her it would be originally before the insurance company called the office and misinformed the staff about her benefitsShe said she would like to speak with her insurance company once more and she did so on 2/16/Her insurance company told her the claim was to be sent back for reprocessing and we would be hearing from them in 7-business daysWe would very much like this to be resolved for the patientWe feel that both her and our office staff were misinformed by her insurance company

Regarding the $35.00 charge they should have notified me  when I made my appointment. That has nothing to do with my insurance company! That was their fault and I should have been told. This matter has been resolved. We refunded the patient $49 via check having made the patient's responsibility only $50 which was initially quoted to her when she came into the office. At this point all questions need to be directed to the patient's insurance company. It is a patient's responsibility to know the terms of their insurance benefits. As a courtesy we call to verify the benefits and we were told incorrect information from the representative of her insurance company. We have been courteous and met the patient halfway. We feel this has matter been resolved appropriately. Thank you.
