Review: On 5-**-2014 I entered into a contract with the home improvement entity Straight, Level, & Square ([redacted]). One of the services contracted at that time was the cement work for a new driveway. The contract that was signed by both parties states that "all workmanship guaranteed 1 year."The cement was completed on 6-**-2014, and the contractor received payment for completion of the masonry work.I did not use the driveway until after I contacted the [redacted] to get the correct time frame to allow the cement to cure. On 6-**-2014 he informed me 'preferably til Tuesday just spoke with [redacted].' [redacted] being the mason, I took his advice and waited until 6-** before I pulled any of my vehicles into the new driveway.On 3-*-2015 I sent [redacted] an email, including two pictures, detailing the visible cracks in the cement work. [redacted] obviously went into a stall tactic, giving no real answers, despite repeated inquiries by myself. He put off a response until I pressed him again on May [redacted]. On May [redacted] their email denied that workmanship could attribute to the cracks, and that 'such a cold winter caused these stress cracks for you.'On the same day, May [redacted], I responded that he ([redacted]) is responsible for the performance of his subcontractors, and reminded him of the ONE year guarantee that the contract states. I have yet to receive any further discourse from any representative of Straight, Level, & Square.I would consider this a definitive breech of the conditions of the contract signed by both parties.Desired Settlement: I feel that the lack of quality workmanship, coupled with the stated ONE year guarantee, warrants complete repair or a VERY steep refund.
