Access Plumbing has done work for us through our home warranty companyPrior to the warranty cosending out Access Plumbing (per our request), a plumber from [redacted] was sent out, and he was nothing more than a thiefcess Plumbing was very honest from the beginning about our problems, and I confirmed their assessment with a plumber that we paid for out of our own pocket as they were not a preferred vendor that HWA usedThe plumbers that came out on three different occasions were all very professional, and they seemed to have our best interest as homeowners in mind The last two times we had to call our home warranty cofor plumbing work, I requested they send AccessWe had a major stoppage in our house and were not able to use two of our three bathroomsBy the time they came out our third bathroom was not usable eitherThey tried to unstop the lines, but there was a bigger issue than the lines being cloggedThe plumber left thinking he had taken care of the issue enough for us to be able to use one bathroom, and indicated that it might be Friday before he could get backThis was on a MondayAn hour after he left, the third bathroom was backing up again, so I called Access and the lady at the office that schedules jobs was very, very helpfulShe was able to get the schedule rearranged, and they called in a back up plumber in order to have our bathrooms up and running by the next dayI will ALWAYS recommend Access Plumbing when asked for a referralThey will be the first company I recommend to friends and family

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Regards,
*** ***

I have read through *** ***'s latest response to my rebuttal of her original claim. Though I still disagree with everything that she is stating, at this point I would just like to dispense with this whole situation and be done with it. I don't agree to her calculation on what I am owed of $($1000-$260-$per ***'s letter). Though we never agreed on a flat fee of $despite her claims, I am willing to compromise and accept the $plus full material costs (I will remove the cost of the tape dispenser since that seems to be of great concern to her). I am requesting full material costs because she specifically requested I go back and repaint all the trim because she hadn't purchased the correct paint the first time around. This was extra time on my part above what we had discussed. Had we actually agreed to a flat fee (which we did not) and then she added on ANY services, such as repainting the trim, this would have been an additional cost. By agreeing to accept the $plus materials of $($429.74-tape dispenser of $34.98) she is getting a substantial deal from me. I am willing to accept this reduced amount to just make her and this situation go awayIf she sends me a check for $1,394.76, I will accept that as payment in fullThanks for your assistance on this matter Schrell, Jon L***Revdex.com Response:The business rejected your offer and is asking for an additional $for labor and materials

FYI: Today I received a telephone call from Mr. L[redacted] regarding his statement previously sent me late December for minor renovations/painting in my newly acquired home. I am going to surmise that Revdex.com has contacted him. If not I will give you a summation of our conversation today. He asked...

about payment for work done in my home. I told him that he did not complete the job requirements and never called me to explain non-completion. He was filling in in between official job offers from a local construction company. I told him I understood the terms of his availability however I asked why he walked off the job, left areas not completed, and he proceeded to claim he had completed all responsibilities. I also informed him that I was willing to pay him for some of his time on however I had not agreed to an hourly rate which he was now charging. This was not agreed upon at the time of accepting the duties assigned.    I asked him for documentation and receipts to support his billing statement and he replied that he required them for tax purposes. I asked for copies for my records and validity that each project was indeed completed and what each area required purchase of goods for repair. He became angry, raised his voice and started shouting, telling me that I could keep my money and something else about his family which I did not understand. Again, I have no problem with making a fair payment and/or reimbursement for work he  “completed” despite the undesirable result. I also told him I have pictures of the areas he claims to have rectified. I did not think it unreasonable to ask for receipts so I have documentation of any goods provided which he claimed he had purchased and my promise to reimburse for same. From his reaction I now believe that he cannot/or will not produce valid documentation of purchases etc. I informed him of my own receipts of purchases made (diffusers x 7 bath cabinet, toilet and other goods from Lowes) which he claims he purchased along with other items. I asked him to tell me what items in particular but he said “off the top of my head I cannot remember). I have owned several homes in my lifetime and I have always requested copies of receipts for goods purchased which I log in my private home repair record folder. As, as previously noted, I am not aware of any response to Revdex.com  by Mr. L[redacted], only his telephone call to me today. Please advise if any action/reply has been instituted on his behalf. Thank you. Sincerely, [redacted]

I am responding to Revdex.com regarding L[redacted]’s response (attached) and once more will try to clarify his comments.  #1  During the time of his employment, receiving a phone call from his employer (office??), he did indeed leave abruptly at least two times in my presence stating he would be back. #2  There was no discussion during a “meeting” of an hourly rate with him or others. I did ask for a “bottom line charge” for the work requested. He presented the next day with a figure “around 1K” for the assignment. NOTE: Regarding any repairs to my home(s) over the years has ALWAYS BEEN for a BOTTOM FIGURE so I can either deny or accept the total figure given according to my budget. Never an hourly rate as that would accumulate to an astronomical figure on completion of any job assignment. #3  There was a glitch in the paint delivery (actually he picked it up at Lowes). It was necessary to purchase a gloss paint to complete the trims. #4  I honestly do not remember “replacing the baseboard in the kitchen. Only to paint the area under the sink. However he did replace the baseboard which was acceptable. #5  AGAIN - no hourly rate was discussed. Only one fee for the entire job. I have never hired anyone on an hourly rate for home repairs. Being on Social Security only makes for a limited budget for upkeep of a home. I can only allow a whole job figure to consider for repairs etc. Either the figure is acceptable or not. We move on. #6  Indeed he was called back to work with his new contract employer at least twice during my presence at my home. His claim he never left my job when called by his contract employer job is false. This left areas uncompleted not returning or calling. #7  I was available via two different phone numbers which he chose not to call. He could even have stopped by to discuss any issues but neither happened. He chose not to re-connect via phone or face to face. #8  Never let a stranger in your no matter who recommends them! #9  His denial re: [redacted] also is false. Indeed he was there and left abruptly when I entered. #10  As for asking payment I would have addressed the fact that areas requiring a “do over” and then settle the bill. However, as you know, this did not take place. #11  One diffuser replaced for which I will reimburse. One of the issues with the diffusers was that he was to remove them, remove the dust particles, vacuum the vent and then replace the unit ready for painting.  This did not occur with the other 8 diffusers. Instead he did in fact paint over them only to cause a larger problem with the dirt/particles adhering to the vent preventing good air/heat flow. It was necessary to remove/replace  the remaining 8 units (except the living room ) now at an additional cost not planned for. NOTE: The receipts provided by Lowes will show areas marked that were questionable. The purchase of drill bit packet @ $18.95, glider brush @ $14.48 (expensive - was it really necessary??), tape dispenser @ $34.98, utility knife @ $17.98. It would seem to me that these items are usually part of a contractors arsenal of tools. (total $86.50). I am deducting that figure as to a questionable necessary purchase in addition to the cost of another repair person in the amount of $260.  This leaves me with areas yet to be completed that L[redacted] did not finish. Currently re-hire/cost is not in my budget. I wish to dispense with this whole experience and considering the original offer/verbal agreement  figure of $1,000 MINUS $260, MIMUS $86.50 (the questionable/or unnecessary purchases, to equal a final payment of $_________. This will be forwarded to L[redacted] via certified letter with the proviso, once signed, to finally finish this claim as satisfactory and will no longer will be pursued. I thank you for your patience and handling this sensitive issue. Please notify me should there be any further follow-up required. Sincerely, R. Costello attach: cc’s

Beware of doing business with this plumber. They will provide a quote and then once they are mid project they will start increasing the cost for random things. They miss appointments and are no call/no shows. They do not treat their customers with respect.

Access Plumbing has done work for us through our home warranty company. Prior to the warranty co. sending out Access Plumbing (per our request), a plumber from [redacted] was sent out, and he was nothing more than a thief. Access Plumbing was very honest from the beginning about our problems, and I confirmed their assessment with a plumber that we paid for out of our own pocket as they were not a preferred vendor that HWA used. The plumbers that came out on three different occasions were all very professional, and they seemed to have our best interest as homeowners in mind.
The last two times we had to call our home warranty co. for plumbing work, I requested they send Access. We had a major stoppage in our house and were not able to use two of our three bathrooms. By the time they came out our third bathroom was not usable either. They tried to unstop the lines, but there was a bigger issue than the lines being clogged. The plumber left thinking he had taken care of the issue enough for us to be able to use one bathroom, and indicated that it might be Friday before he could get back. This was on a Monday. An hour after he left, the third bathroom was backing up again, so I called Access and the lady at the office that schedules jobs was very, very helpful. She was able to get the schedule rearranged, and they called in a back up plumber in order to have our bathrooms up and running by the next day. I will ALWAYS recommend Access Plumbing when asked for a referral. They will be the first company I recommend to friends and family.
