At this point, this is turning into his word against mineAs stated before, the customer was completely satisfied for a period of time after the work was completedHad he been dissatisfied the complaint should have come upon the completion of the projectHe has told me about [redacted] complaining about my work and now he is saying 'several contractors' complainedI went back to fix what he was not happy with which was a few rough spots and a few rock pocketsAgain, I told the customer I would not do the overlay because I did not want him complaining about that work as wellRegardless if he pays for the labor it is still my company doing the work and my company who he is now suddenly dissatisfied withHe can find another company that the contractors recommend to him since they are the people who seem to have issues with the work that was doneThe comments about it being 'customary' in [redacted] , PA, this is not [redacted] and I do stand behind my work and I have had no other complaints from any other customer besides this one and it was a while after the work was completedThe concrete did not change within that time, it is the same as the day we completed itI would like for him to submit pictures to the Revdex.com with work that was so poorly doneHe said I ignored him which I did not ignore him I told him I was out of town and working on other jobs that were scheduled before his complaints, because I had not heard from him AT ALL I assumed he was true to his comments he made the day we were done stating he was very happy and completely satsifiedI am still confused as to why he would say that then and is now changing his storyAgain, concrete does not change!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me Since this process is going nowhere, I will close this case and consider my other means of recourseThanks [redacted]

At this point, this is turning into his word against mine. As stated before, the customer was completely satisfied for a period of time after the work was completed. Had he been dissatisfied the complaint should have come upon the completion of the project. He has told me about [redacted] complaining about my work and now he is saying 'several contractors' complained. I went back to fix what he was not happy with which was a few rough spots and a few rock pockets. Again, I told the customer I would not do the overlay because I did not want him complaining about that work as well. Regardless if he pays for the labor it is still my company doing the work and my company who he is now suddenly dissatisfied with. He can find another company that the contractors recommend to him since they are the people who seem to have issues with the work that was done. The comments about it being 'customary' in [redacted], PA, this is not [redacted] and I do stand behind my work and I have had no other complaints from any other customer besides this one and it was a while after the work was completed. The concrete did not change within that time, it is the same as the day we completed it. I would like for him to submit pictures to the Revdex.com with work that was so poorly done. He said I ignored him which I did not ignore him I told him I was out of town and working on other jobs that were scheduled before his complaints, because I had not heard from him AT ALL I assumed he was true to his comments he made the day we were done stating he was very happy and completely satsified. I am still confused as to why he would say that then and is now changing his story. Again, concrete does not change!

I tried to respond to this complaint last week and it gave me an error. I am assuming it is because the ticket was reopened. However to explain the situation again, please see below.
** was given an estimate for the job on his back patio. After reviewing the cost he said he could not...

afford it and would not pay for the price given. I asked him what would work for him and he gave me the price of $2800. I told him that if I dropped it down to that price it would only be 2 men on the job and that would make things very difficult. He said he wanted to move forward with the $2800 bid knowing we would be VERY short on manpower. The way my company works is we receive 1/2 the payment up front and the other 1/2 upon completion and clean up.  ** gave me a check for the first half so we could begin the project. I scheduled my ready mix company to deliver the concrete which then had to be wheel barrowed from the street to the back yard since there was no other way to get it back there. As of Feb 2, 2015 the ready mix company only allots 1.5 hours to unload your concrete. Only having myself and one laborer, I had to pay for the truck to be there for almost 4 hours just so I wouldn't lose the concrete. While wheel barrowing the concrete to the back I had to work with it as well to make sure it didn't dry unevenly, concrete waits for no one, I had to do two jobs at once which was very difficult, hence the reason I stressed to him the labor needed to be paid for but he refused to pay the price that was originally given. Once the job was complete, ** and his wife both stated they were very satisfied with the work. ** paid me the other half of the bid and then tipped me $100 for the hard work myself and my laborer put in. About a month went by and ** called to say there were a few rough spots. I then went back out there and used black rock to smooth some spots out and patched a few rock pockets. Again, ** said he was satisfied. Then about another month goes by and ** calls to say that [redacted] the subdivision contractor had stopped by and he started to nitpick at my work saying he didn't like it. THEN ** calls to complain and say he was no longer satisfied. If he wasn't satisfied to begin with his option was to not pay the other half of the job until it was fixed. If he was not satisfied why did he tip us? Concrete does not change, it looks the same as the day he said he was happy with our work. Now he wants an overlay and he says he will NOW pay for the labor needed. I simply told him that after him complaining two months later that I was not the company for him and he needed to find someone else to do the overlay work. I have the option to refuse service to anyone who I feel is not going to be satisfied or to anyone who I think would be happier with someone else. I am looking out for him. If he is this unhappy about my work, there is no reason for him to be asking for my services again. It is not something that needs to be repaired, it is a matter of opinion that has changed over a few months.
