I received your letter from Mr. [redacted] regarding our service we provided for his sewer lines (ID # [redacted]).  [redacted] called us on 6/8/17 with sewage back up problems occurring within his house.  We responded promptly and the protocol is to auger out the line.  When we...

augured out the lines there were roots coming back attached to the auger.  At this time our protocol is to apply a chemical, root-x, to the system to kill all the roots within the pipe.  This chemical is effervescent and starts working immediately when water is present.  We pour in the chemical and need to add 5 gallons of water to it.  We do this with a bucket and simultaneously with the chemical.  With "low flow" toilets, there is a great possibility that this chemical wll come back out of the toilet.  [redacted] was advised of all these situations and it was his decision to proceed with the chemical.  We DO NOT just add this stuff without customer approval.  After applying the chemical, water cannot be used for 6 hours or you flush away the chemical.Two weeks after we sent the invoice, we received payment for half the work, demanding to know our warranty policy before final payment.  I stated that there is no warranty unless payment is received and when received we would warranty the product only.  If you have roots penetrating into your system, you obviously have a void in the pipe.  The chemical kills what is in the pipe but doesn't kill the whole tree.  Roots WILL come back.  When [redacted] called us again, about 4 months later, we showed up promptly again.  When we went to auger the pipe out, our auger caught on the void in the pipe and broke our cable ($289).  There was nothing else we could do at this point.  We can not add product with the roots still in the pipe. We never charged him for our time or our equipment breaking in HIS pipe.Roots will grow back, this method is only a band aid until the owner repairs the pipe.  Nobody, or no manufacturer would warranty something that needs to be replaced.I resent the fact that neither [redacted], nor the Revdex.com can even spell our company's name right.  One calls it Straders and another calls it Strangers.  Not very good due diligence on either part or maybe we are not the company that you are looking for.  When looking into this gentleman's credit it appears many entities are seeking the courts for payment from [redacted].  [redacted] wants me to refund him from our work the first time, that lasted 4 months till the roots grew back.  Then [redacted] wants me to pay for the other vendors work.  In the spring, roots will grow back again and I suppose he will want us to pay for that again too.  Boy, he just wants everything for free.You stated that his statement will appear on the Revdex.com website, regardless of your findings.  Well that just makes no sense at all.  If your business has to do this, can I file a complaint with the Revdex.com about your obtuse policy????

[redacted]I have read Stranders reply, sorry to hear it. They did not auger the first time at my house. A different company did. I do not have a low flow toilet either. I'm Shocked that they would attack me personally. I could go the small claim route to get my money. But I will eat this cost to resolve this. All I can do is tell people of the service I received and the attack they did here. I will leave it to my God to right it when I'm wronged.Thank you.
