Patient did come to her appointment, patient came unprepared to pay her co-payments and chose to not keep her appointment. A [redacted] fee was charged. I was never told the total cost so how could I bring a deductible if I don't have a total amount? No one ever went over my insurance with me at the time of my first appt. Only at the 2nd appt and the boy got smart with me about my insurance. These office ppl (unprofessional) will result in the business closing. Just watch.

I have been a dentist for 32 years and have owned multiple practices. I have also worked with other dentists in their offices. I would say that most dentists would agree with me that patients in "today's" dentistry pay their co-pays and deductibles at the time of service. Many patients come unprepared to pay and because of this, most dental offices are having their patients pay the estimated charges of the day, prior to the appointment.

My question for Ms. [redacted] would be; having read and signed my office policy (which clearly states payment at the time of service), would you have let me do your treatment and not paid me that day? After all, you didn't come prepared to pay.
You are the reason why we collect before treatment is performed. I printed and reviewed your treatment with you on the day of the initial examination. You knew how much the treatment was going to be. You simply chose not to comply with a policy that you signed. And now you are trying to "get out of another bill" that you agreed to pay.

Yes, you came unprepared to pay which is clearly failing to be prepared for your appointment. Did you think it was going to be free? Of course not, because dentistry cost money. Our office charges half what other offices charge for that service you were going to get.

You wasted that time by not being prepared and kept another patient from getting those two hours (And that failure fee should have been [redacted] Our other courteous patients who are considerate of our work and time who forget how much things cost are considerate enough to call in advance if they forgot.
Everything you stated in your complaint, you misrepresented just to get out of a bill. I will do the respectful thing and adjust your [redacted] FAILED APPOINTMENT FEE and terminate our relationship as is stated in the office policy. Now you will pay double the cost somewhere else.
As far as my office personnel's professionalism...they are extremely professional.
As far as going out of business....not on your life! CASE CLOSED!!!
