Review: On 11/24/13 I arranged a photo session via email with a photographer (Stratton Photography) to have some photo work completed. It was made clear that these photos would contain music content such as me posing with various musical instruments. A fee for the modeling session was established at $100. For this fee I would receive 20 high resolution edited images on CD/Email. A photo session date was then set for 3/29/14. I was in contact with the photographer ([redacted] Stratton) often over the next several months working out the content and details of the session.Several days after the completion of the photo session on 11/24/14 I received my selected 20 edited high resolution images via a downloadable link. I noticed that on each photo was a logo in the lower left corner that read Stratton Photography. I asked the photographer if he would remove his logo from the photos. I was then emailed a Print Release Form and informed that he would not remove the logo unless I paid an additional fee of $69 per photo. I found this business practice to be very deceptive. At no point during our 5 month email communication, or photo session at the photographers home was I informed of any additional fees associated with this set of 20 photos. I received no verbal explanation, informative email, link to the photographers rules and regulations, or paperwork from the photographer detailing such procedures, and I signed nothing that would indicate I approved of such practices. I was only informed of the additional fees and release form after the shoot was completed. If I would have been made aware of the additional fees and release form for the photos when Id first contacted the photographer, I would have never agreed to the photo session in the first place. I feel I was suckered into this photographers ulterior motive to obtain some photo content and $100 while leading me to believe I was receiving something that I wasn't and which had additional (hidden) strings attached.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the photographers logo removed from my 20 photos, or my $100 refunded.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: That was a nice letter from the photographer, but I still don't approve of his business parctices. If you notice on the studio's receipt there is a signature line stating the Notice of Copyright and other studio rights that I have not signed. The receipt is for a a Photo Session w/ 20 Finished Images Delivered Electronically: Total Price $100. Since I have not signed the receipt, and have no other approval in writing of copyright notice, etc. I am accepting this transaction as a "Work for Hire" at the cost to me of $100 for the 20 photos. I now must spend $72 to have the logo removed from six photos that I find useable that I would not have edited otherwise. I would appriciate a rembursement of the $72 for removal of the photographers logo from the photos.
