response Adopter was pre approved when she attended our adoption eventAlthough we advised her that puppies were a lot of work she was adamant to adopt *** a pupWe reviewed our foster to adopt contract and discussed no refund policy for adoption "donation" as we are a 501cnon profitShe signed the contract which we will provide as an attachment below Several days later she contacted our volunteers stating the puppy was more than she could handleWe offered training, although she claimed to want help she did not wait for the appointment and demanded the puppy be picked up immediatelyOne of our volunteers left her nanny job to pick up puppy out of concern based on the emails sent I will also attach thoseI spoke to the adopter regarding no refund policy and offered to help find a better fit for her insteadShe then told me she had already decided on a different pet through a different organization and was moving forward Our contract states clearly "no refunds" out of good intentions we offered to assist in a better fit - we offered training but those offers were not acceptedOur contract also states with regard to veterinary care only those services approved in advance and at one of our veterinarians would be covered We had no idea nor did we authorize and veterinary care of *** while in adopters home Thank you
