To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted] on behalf of Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] was accepted at Strayer University (“Strayer”) on December 17, 2015 and sought to attend courses starting the Winter 2016 quarter.
• On December 22, 2015, an Admissions Officer...

attempted to reach Ms. [redacted] to no avail, and left her a voicemail informing her that she needed to complete her FAFSA.
• On January 5, 2016, an Academic Services Administrator (ASA) was also unsuccessful in reaching Ms. [redacted] to welcome her to the University and left her a voicemail requesting a return call to discuss her first quarter advising.
• On January 7, 2016, the ASA sent a welcome email to Ms. [redacted] emphasizing on key elements critical to succeeding academically and reiterating a request to meet telephonically or in-person to discuss the first quarter advising session.
• On January 8, 2016, the ASA received a call back from Ms. [redacted] as well as a response to his Welcome email notifying him that she had withdrawn from Strayer University and that all Student loans, grants etc. have been sent to another college. Ms. [redacted] also requested not to try to take these funds as she had already informed [redacted] that she was no longer attending Strayer University. Furthermore, in her email, Ms. [redacted] claimed she had sent her Admissions Officer two emails in addition to two voicemails. The ASA immediately forwarded the student’s email to the Market Director, whom instantly contacted the student’s Admissions Officer. The Admissions Officer whose last day with Strayer University was January 9, 2015 confirmed that they had not heard from the student at all nor had she received any voicemails or emails. The Market Director withdrew Ms. [redacted].
• On February 23, 2016, Ms. [redacted] unexpectedly completed a new application for admissions, and was displeased upon speaking to the Student Financial Services (SFS) specialist regarding her withdrawal fee and balance due, and claimed she had requested to be withdrawn prior to the start of the quarter. The Market Director whom withdrew Ms. [redacted] previously, reached out to her to advise her that the balance due would gladly be waived; provided she submits supporting documentation to substantiate the withdrawal request she claimed submitted prior to the start of the quarter. Unable to support her claim, Ms. [redacted] affirmed she was not able to find the sent emails, agreed to the fees applied to her student account and sought to attend courses starting the Spring 2016 quarter.
There was no further communication has been received from Ms. [redacted] since her last phone conversation with the Market Director.
Subsequently, a $142.00 No Show Fee was applied to Ms. [redacted]’s student account for each of the two courses dropped after the start of the Winter 2016 academic quarter, in addition to a $25.00 Withdrawal Fee, as per the University’s add/drop policy. Unfortunately, unless Ms. [redacted] is able to provide documentation supporting her claim, the University deems the outstanding balance of $309.00 (Not $350 as stated in the Revdex.com case inquiry) to be valid and owing.
Ms. [redacted] may contact Strayer University’s Student Financial Services department at ###-###-#### or her home campus to make payment arrangements.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Review: I enrolled at this school during the Spring of 2013. Less than a month later a program became available that could save me a tremendous amount on my tuition but I was not told about it and how this could benefit me. By the time I noticed what was available I was told I could not enroll because I was in the Associates program and missed the cut off. Well, I am enrolled in the Bachelors program and I would like to have the benefits of this saving. I have been a faithful and loyal student. This is a very expensive school and I am very quickly running out of loans to apply against my tuition. This school boasts about their success coaches however no one provided me any directions on how to earn my degree while saving as much as possible while enrolled.Desired Settlement: I would like the Graduation Fun applied against the courses I have completed. Tuition is over $1775 per class. I am so stressed over the idea of running out of funds. There should not be a penalty applied to students who wish to participated. Put your money where your advertisements say you believe in which is helping working students be successful.

Review: On 3/18/2014 I visited Strayer University's Roswell Campus to register for classes to start April 17, 2014. At the office I spoke with [redacted] the Admissions Manager. She told me I could not register for classes at that time because there was a balance of over $2,000 on my account. I told her that was impossible because I did not drop any classes. I took the classes for which I registered. She told me she would have the person who handles the university's financial matters. (I did speak with him but could not fully understand the problem because he has a very strong accent.) I believe he said something about financial aide; which should not be a problem because Sallie Mae loans covered everything. There was one small change I needed to make on my verification form, in 2012, but that should not be the problem because I was working with the Strayer Chamblee campus. I sent the paperwork the first time. Strayer Chamblee made a copy and submitted the copy to the Financial aide office; but the Strayer financial aide office rejected it because the Strayer Chamblee campus' printer produced a poor reproduction. Strayer Chamblee asked me to resend the docs, which I did. Below is information regarding whom I sent the content to and when. From: [redacted] Sent:Mon 6/18/12 5:23 PM To: [redacted] Here is the first set of documents. Please print out a copy and then delete the email and empty the deleted folder associated with your email. [redacted] is going to fax the [redacted]. Please provide assistance in resolving this matter.Desired Settlement: Strayer University should use my funding from Sallie Mae to cover all expenses and clear the current balance so I can finish my degree.

Subject: Welcome

[redacted],

Welcome to Strayer University!

My name is Dr. George M[redacted]. I am an Academic Services Administrator at Strayer's Warrendale/Delaware County/Christiana Campuses. I am contacting you at this time to ensure that you receive some important information you need to excel at Strayer University since this is your first quarter at the University as a new student or a readmit. I would love to meet with you as soon as possible by phone or in person to provide you with information you need to succeed in your classes at Strayer. We will review your academic requirements report, your current course load, and the classes you should consider taking over the next few quarters. Please let me know when we can schedule some time to meet by phone or in person.

I called Heather the Student services person three times before Christmas and two times after and sent her email messages. I was told Heather left on January 1st of 2016; "Tom" was the guy who worked with her was attending his father Funeral, so no one ever got my messages. Also, I emailed my Professors for these classes I was supposed to take and they both got the emails! I do not feel that I should pay $350.00 for classes dropped in time.Desired Settlement: I feel I should not pay $350.00 dollars because the person who was taking care of m; Heather left to take another job with oout telling anyone about things which were not resolved and the School is at fault for having no one to cover for her!

Review: I started attending the University of Strayer on April 6,2015 in the Austin, Texas campus. I was told everything with my financial for this current semester was fine and was approved. I was told for the summer which begins in July, 2015 I would need more verification. FedLoan is my current student loan provided. I started to receive notification that my loan was due on April 27, 2015 and I was sure it was just an error since I am currently enrolled in school. I contacted FedLoad on April 27, 2015 and spoke with an agent name [redacted] and was told that I had not applied for any financial or student loans for Strayer that was very alarming especially since now my student loans are past due. I reached out to Strayer to have them send the verification letter to FedLoan and even provided the fax number to the agent. I thought everything was fine till on 05/05/15 I received another email remaining me that my students are past due. I contacted the local office at Strayer University in Austin, Texas and spoke with [redacted] and was told give them a few days. Why? My credit is being hurt because they are refusing to send a verification letter. Also, the other alarming factor is that the loan department is saying I did not apply for loans. I need to know where those funds are going. I was supposed to be released my financial aid and loan reimbursement on 05/06/15 and I have yet to receive it. The amount of 1,425 was supposed to be direct deposit on 05/06/15 but now it is not even reflecting on their website. Actually, my student loans were more in the 8,000 range so they owe me more money. It has been very hard for me to focus on my schooling since April 27, 2015 because to believe that you all are not putting in my information because I do not want to have to pay out of pocket for something I have been told is taken care of.Desired Settlement: I need my refund check direct deposit to my bank that I placed on file the week of 05/06/15 and also I need the verification letter stating that I was enrolled since April 6, 2015 to FedLoan and the fax number is ###-###-#### or ###-###-#### attention [redacted]. You all are hurting my credit.
