Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2015/07/17) */ The gear shifter on Mr [redacted] 's BMW broke when our manager on duty drove the car onto the conveyor for the car washThere was no unusual handling of the shifter to cause it to brake off the carThe shifter is a plastic part which had been previously broken off and glued back in place so it appeared to be working properlySince he just recently purchased the car from BMW it seems his complaint should be with the dealer who sold him the carAccording to the estimate provided the car is years oldOur manager on duty who was driving the car at the time has been pulling cars on the conveyor for six years except for a few months he had moved out of GreensboroHe has pulled thousands of cars on the conveyor and has never broken a gear shifter during this timeIn fact we have been in business at this location for years and have never broken a gear shifterWe are extremely careful with our customer's as can be seen by our A+ rating with the Revdex.comI asked Mr [redacted] for the serial number for his car which BMW parts department said he would need to find the part in questionHe refused to provide this informationWe would normally ask for the mileage and proof of ownership, but at this point Mr [redacted] said we would see him in courtHe is going to sue our company and me personally including punitive damagesWe would have tried to find some middle ground for a case like this, but Mr [redacted] will not even provide us basic information to determine what is reasonableThe estimate he gave was from a business which was not even open on the day he gave us the estimateThe labor rate shown is $when dealers charges for body work is less than $hourThis shop in question was not of the caliber of a dealer so you would expect a much lower labor rate instead of a higher rateIt seems Mr [redacted] has decided to make this a court matter, so our negotiations have ended

Used too much armour all on dash which run down into speaker Stearing wheel slick, seats streaked, windshield streaked Side mirrors not clean Saturday 04/09/12:58pm paid $by debit card for complete car wash and detail Requested black leather seats not be done Used way too much armour all on dash which ran down into speaker and ruined felt backing inside speaker Could have collected palm full of white thick liquid Had to keep wiping speaker cover as sun drew out remaining liquid Seats streaked with armour all and brown spots from somewhere shown to rep to correct Windsheild streaked, side mirrors not cleaned Had to ask rep to open trunk to wipe down around jams Tipped graciously Let for appt in Kernersville Had to stop and wipe car down and reclean due to so much armour all Spoke with owner who offered a free wash and cleaning Said we should have brought car back immediately to address issues Too upset and needing to be on time for other appt

I joined the monthly club when I canceled I have been charged months after I canceledEvery month I have gone into the location on Battleground and asked that they cancel yet every month they continue to charge me
what if I didn't have the money in my accountthey could cause a hardship for someoneI also DO NOT have time to go in to the car wash on a day that it's not raining to request my refundIT IS Terrible

The facts of Mr ***'s complaint do not agree with what actually happened at the car wash on Dec He was told by our manager before he entered the car wash that we would not be responsible for LED light bar attached to his truckHe did say
he had been to the wash previously without an issue and he was confident there would be no problemHe was told again that if there was an issue with the light bar we would not be responsibleHe insisted on running truck thru the washHe also claims the top brush was not raised and that is the reason the damage occurredBut that is not the caseThe same manager who told him we could not be responsible for the light bar did in fact raise the top brushHe claims it took minutes to shut the car wash system downThis was not the caseBoth managers at the wash immediately activated the emergency shut down button when the brush attached to the light bar which automatically shuts everything off in the car wash tunnelHe was told before entering the car wash we are not responsible for aftermarket parts like his light barThis has been our policy for the years we have been in businessIt is the same policy in place at virtually all automatic car washes in operation todayThis policy is not unique to Streetcars

This is not by far the truth he was not there and and no time was I told not to go in the washNow here is the point my light rack and tool box are held down by - 1/inched bolts and the rack and box weight is lbs + it is more secure than any factory part and the top brush could not have been up because there is no way possible it could have ripped the bolts completely to thur the bed and toolbox with such force that it left the toolbox full of equipment and steel rack completely put them in the trunk bedThis is unacceptable I am telling the facts as well the truth

No response, so called again on June 4:45pm and talked to *** ***He was going to get and estimate of the cost to fix the dents he claimed were incurred at the car
wash and email a copy of the estimate from a dent shop to meTo date I have not received the estimate from *** *** 7/3/

By Mrs***'s own account they were happy with the services they received when they left the car wash, as she said they "tipped graciously"We provided all the services which they purchasedThey realized after they left the car wash that
they were not satisfied with the quality of our workRather than bring the car back for us to touch up to their full satisfaction, Mrs*** called a few days later and asked for a full refundAs she stated I told her we would be happy to fix whatever she was not happy with and in addition we would give them a free wash in the future for her troublesBy her own account I believe we have been more than reasonable in response to her complaint

Since he just recently purchased the car from BMW it seems his complaint should be with the dealer who sold him the car. According to the estimate provided the car is 9 years old. Our manager on duty who was driving the car at the time has been pulling cars on the conveyor for six years except for a few months he had moved out of Greensboro. He has pulled thousands of cars on the conveyor and has never broken a gear shifter during this time. In fact we have been in business at this location for 29 years and have never broken a gear shifter. We are extremely careful with our customer's as can be seen by our A+ rating with the Revdex.com. I asked Mr [redacted] for the serial number for his car which BMW parts department said he would need to find the part in question. He refused to provide this information. We would normally ask for the mileage and proof of ownership, but at this point Mr [redacted] said we would see him in court. He is going to sue our company and me personally including punitive damages. We would have tried to find some middle ground for a case like this, but Mr [redacted] will not even provide us basic information to determine what is reasonable. The estimate he gave was from a business which was not even open on the day he gave us the estimate. The labor rate shown is $65.00 when dealers normal charges for body work is less than $50.00 hour. This shop in question was not of the caliber of a dealer so you would expect a much lower labor rate instead of a higher rate. It seems Mr [redacted] has decided to make this a court matter, so our negotiations have ended.
