I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below We are rejecting the businesses response as [redacted] is still not explaining with [redacted] investigation results being that the floor prep was not done correctly why this is not his responsibility and no fault of oursHe has not explained what steps he took precisely to ensure the paint would adhere properly the second time to fix the issue, but instead he said he has just “redone” what he did the first time and so logically we would end up with the same result – peeling as soon as water pools on the floor. We were instructed by [redacted] to not park in the garage for 3-days and the box itself says days; we kept cars out of both sides of the garage for days the first time in and it peeled under the tire spots once we parked cars with rain water run-offWhen it was repainted in 2017, we stayed off it daysAs soon as water dripped off our cars from rain in and 2017, first one side bubbled then peeled, then the other sideThe paint has begun to bubble and peel as well as where water pooled off in other areas of the garage, not just under the tiresAgain, I will state that [redacted] came out in and and twice told us it was a pre-painting floor preparation issue because water was actually under the paint when they inspected it both times by analyzing the paint chips and by conducting a water beading test, even in the run-off areas where the paint hadn’t been driven onWe have photos and paint samples to prove this which I included in the original Revdex.com complaintThese findings indicate that it was a water issue since the retreated areas are peeling again indicating the floor was still not prepared properly for the paint to properly adhere the second time eitherWith the repaint, the garage is now at least shades and will still need to be repainted as the areas that are peeling continue to grow with any rain water from our vehiclesThe reason we let him know about the vacation plans we had was to set the best time for him to paint since our cars would be off the floor for at least a week on both occasions as we were instructedAt no time were we ever told to stay off the floor for 7-days, but to 7, which we didIt took a year for [redacted] to fit us in to redo the areas the first time and he did not respond to our concern about the peeling issues this second time except to send us to [redacted] After coming out a second time, [redacted] assured us the floor was not sanded deeply enough so the paint could not adhere properly and we told [redacted] this, but he never responded to us about that information until I filed a Revdex.com complaintHe was hired to paint a garage floor and offers a warranty on his work, yet after not handling the initial and second painting correctly, he is claiming no further responsibility to resolve the issue – that is not honoring his warrantyAt this point, I have to hire a second company and pay again to paint the floor I already paid him to do; therefore, I do not feel he deserves the full payment we made in good faith unless he completes the job Regards, [redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
We are rejecting the businesses response as [redacted] is still not explaining with [redacted] investigation results being that the floor prep was not done correctly why this is not his responsibility and no fault of ours. He has not explained what steps he took precisely to ensure the paint would adhere properly the second time to fix the issue, but instead he said he has just “redone” what he did the first time and so logically we would end up with the same result – peeling as soon as water pools on the floor. We were instructed by [redacted] to not park in the garage for 3-7 days and the box itself says 3 days; we kept cars out of both sides of the garage for 10 days the first time in 2016 and it peeled under the tire spots once we parked cars with rain water run-off. When it was repainted in 2017, we stayed off it 9 days. As soon as water dripped off our cars from rain in 2016 and 2017, first one side bubbled then peeled, then the other side. The paint has begun to bubble and peel as well as where water pooled off in other areas of the garage, not just under the tires. Again, I will state that [redacted] came out in 2016 and 2017 and twice told us it was a pre-painting floor preparation issue because water was actually under the paint when they inspected it both times by analyzing the paint chips and by conducting a water beading test, even in the run-off areas where the paint hadn’t been driven on. We have photos and paint samples to prove this which I included in the original Revdex.com complaint. These findings indicate that it was a water issue since the retreated areas are peeling again indicating the floor was still not prepared properly for the paint to properly adhere the second time either. With the repaint, the garage is now at least 3 shades and will still need to be repainted as the areas that are peeling continue to grow with any rain water from our vehicles. The reason we let him know about the vacation plans we had was to set the best time for him to paint since our cars would be off the floor for at least a week on both occasions as we were instructed. At no time were we ever told to stay off the floor for 7-14 days, but 3 to 7, which we did. It took a year for [redacted] to fit us in to redo the areas the first time and he did not respond to our concern about the peeling issues this second time except to send us to [redacted]. After coming out a second time, [redacted] assured us the floor was not sanded deeply enough so the paint could not adhere properly and we told [redacted] this, but he never responded to us about that information until I filed a Revdex.com complaint. He was hired to paint a garage floor and offers a warranty on his work, yet after not handling the initial and second painting correctly, he is claiming no further responsibility to resolve the issue – that is not honoring his warranty. At this point, I have to hire a second company and pay again to paint the floor I already paid him to do; therefore, I do not feel he deserves the full payment we made in good faith unless he completes the job.
Regards,
[redacted]
