Strickland Family Medicine Center

I went to Strickland Clinic on 12/9/2019 for my initial Welcome to Medicare visit. This visit was billed incorrectly to Medicare as an Annual Wellness Visit, for which I still did not qualify as I had not had Medicare over a year. The visit consisted of medical history review and recommendations but no tests because as per Dr Guerreso 'Medicare would not cover them on this initial visit'. We were all clear on that this was a Welcome to Medicare visit, for which I did qualify under Medicare benefits. The visit generated 3 invoices for a total of $1012.00 of which Medicare did pay one for $323. The rest have been denied by Medicare and upon my contacting them Medicare indicated that they were coded incorrectly and not as a Welcome to Medicare appointment. In numerous calls and e-mails to billing for Gwinnett Medical Group I have requested from them and all other contacts they have provided to correct the invoice and they say they would resubmit however the records I see in my Medicare account indicates no corrections made to coding. Also, I have requested multiple times from billing an explanation of why 1 visit generated 3 invoices and why a cost of $1012 for a Dr appointment. My questions have been ignored and I have now received an invoice for $350 indicating my account is delinquent.
