I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I plan to call the business to inform them of which date of those offered I will be there to collect the $700 I was owed to finalize this issue. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. The statement by the owner does say that if I do not turn up on the specified day that she will consider the matter settled. I would say that that is true in general except for unforeseen mitigating forces such as emergencies of health and/or weather making the meeting impossible.

Review: Primary Nature of your Review: spans a number of topics

Car was originally purchased by my step-son in March 2013 from facility when they were located on [redacted] in [redacted] It was stated at that time that he needed a car that would move him to [redacted] State as he was moving in the next month or two. It did not last that long before breaking down. Facility was paid to fix it and they supposedly did. In the meantime car kept needing repair and my step-son was looking for alternate methods to move to [redacted] State.

The reason for this complaint is that my step-son brought the car back to the facility in the late Summer or early Fall of 2013 as it needed a clutch and facility was to replace clutch and then sell the car and give my step-son the cash. The clutch would be $250 which was paid up front in 2 installments over the next 2-4 weeks, and work was to start immediately thereafter.

Car was never finished before my step-son flew to [redacted] State in February 2014. Owner seemed to be ducking my step-son's calls as well.

Facility was to follow up with my step-son on progress. Never did. The first time my wife and I stopped in to see owner, he said car was a mess and he had not had time to do the repair as he had been in the hospital again (We have heard so many tall tales from this man over the years and he repeats the same stories too! He worked on my wife’s car at a different facility a number of years back.) So, we cleaned a bunch of junk from the car and gave him our phone numbers to call when he had things done and he would sell the car. We heard nothing.

When we stopped in the next time, he said he could have sold it 3 times but did not have the title to do so. I said he should have called me as I DID have the signed title. He asked for it and I said I would bring him a copy. I gave him signed PHOTOCOPY. Still nothing.

In late October of last year (2015) I stopped in and he said he was going to advertise it in multiple places (his website & [redacted] & another I don't remember) and call me to keep me informed. Nothing, and I did not see the car advertised anywhere.

When I stopped in to see him in December, he said he would sell the car for $700 and there would be no reduction in money for commission or advertising as he just wanted to be done with it!

I heard nothing from him again, so I stopped in just before 5pm Friday, January 15th 2016 and he said that he had not advertized it recently because he needed to replace the tail light and did not want to misrepresent the car in an ad before he could replace it (The car was not missing a tail light when we last saw it). I asked him when the last time was that he had started the car. My plan was to take the car and see about selling it myself. The owner said that it had not been started in about a year and that he would need to charge the battery, he would also need to replace the tail light that he took and sold to someone!!! I asked him to do so and said I would be back. I then walked over to the car and verified the VIN number through the windshield with a flashlight so I knew it was the right car- it was indeed missing the tail light. And the grill. And the battery. So of course it would not start.

My wife and I went back the next day in the sunshine and took videos of the car. It is apparently missing some engine parts as well! The grill, radiator, engine fan and other things were disassembled. The grill was in the back seat. The doors were all unlocked so ANYONE could have continued to strip it. I have no idea whether it had the clutch replaced but I bet not.

Since the Revdex.com complaint cannot be 3rd party I registered the car in my name. My step-son has been out of the picture for the last 2 years of all these broken promises and tall tales he has given me directly. I want the $700 he promised me and to have this complaint published on your site for all to see.Desired Settlement: I want the last thing he promised me; the $700 free and clear of any reduction by commission or any other reason, which he said he would give me for selling the car when we met in December 2015.
