Sent: Thursday, August 10, 4:PM Subject: ID #*** Dear Revdex.com, We at all times showed our interest to answer all questions and concerns that has been presented to usWe at this point do not exactly understand the reasons why Mrs*** feels she is owed back the money that was rendered to herThe detailed repairs was presented to you for clarity of our service and parts usedHowever we do not have the list of services & parts repaired or replaced by the repair facility (*** dealership) that has or will resolved this vehicles issues We would like to be provided this list to better answer any further concernsAs far as the question of why the thermostat was not reinstalled back into the systemThe cooling system would have over heated due to lower block issues as explained verbally & in writing to the client at the time she was picking up her vehicle on her third visitThe core issue here is that this engine had both upper head & lower engine block issuesWe identified the upper head issues and could not in good faith tell the client to go ahead and perform the lower block as well just for the heck of it without some proof that the lower block had issuesWe had to perform the repairs that we did to find out that yes, the lower block of this engine also had problemsWe really feel bad for the circumstances that the client is in but we stand by the step by step work that we did as it is standard procedure for this type of mechanical symptoms the vehicle hadIf her issues are not repaired yet, we would like the opportunity to know so we can offer her a discounted price of repairs with our 12,miles/months warrantyJust being upset at us with no technical substance of our wrong doing leaves the client unsatisfied and us helpless to help herWe once again extend our hand to help her with the price of rebuilding the lower block if she chooses to do so, to show our goodwillWe really try to have every client satisfied to the best of our abilityThank you for following up with this concern of our client

Dear Revdex.com, my name is [redacted] and I am the service writer at Rapid Repair Auto Center. Our Customer [redacted] brought her vehicle on 01/25/2016 for overheating issue. We checked the vehicle and noticed that the vehicle was covered in rust from the bottom as if the vehicle was brought down from...

the snowy patches of the north. This vehicle had leakage from the water pump and the radiator. From what was seen there was rust on the areas where water had leaked on leaving traces of past water runs.I told the customer that this vehicle has major problem due to the rust and may have other damages to the engine. At the time I recommend to do the cylinder heads and have them repaired at our machine shop with a valve job and resurface. The customer agreed on the repair but before the job took place, I suggested the customer to come to the shop so that she could see all the presence of rust on the vehicle. I informed her that to remove the cylinder heads, there was certain measures that required the removal of the catalytic converters with the possibility of replacement in question. In the interval of the repair the catalytic converters were removed without the breaking of the components.Along with this service we replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat w/housing, spark plugs, timing chain tensioners, timing cover o-ring set, crankshaft seal, vvt solenoid gaskets, radiator cap, oil and filter change, coolant reservoir, drive belt and bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor. After two months the customer brought the vehicle back and I flushed the radiator due to the rust again with no charge and I told her to keep an eye on the temperature. She called me in about couple of months again sometime in May of 2016 reporting the vehicle was overheating again. I told her to bring in the vehicle, but she didn't and then towed the vehicle on 09/19/2016 after 4 months of the prior time in May of 2016 that we had spoken. I told the customer that she needs to leave the vehicle and if the cylinder head is the problem for the overheating then it would be under warranty, and we would gladly take care of it. We went ahead and removed the whole long block that is when we noticed the block itself was leaking coolant. The block was indeed damaged and needed to be replaced. I called the customer and explained everything but she declined the service. As a courtesy for removing the engine and installing it back, we did not charge her anything (NOT A PENNY).As a result she did not want to do the service and I told her if she wanted to do this repair I would give her a great price, but she retorted to not wanting to go through with the repair.

Regards,The vehicle was repaired ([redacted] Dealer) . [redacted] did not say that the bottom block needed repair. [redacted] replaced the thermostat (something Rapid Repair left out) . Replaced both A/F Sensors. Replaced both Front exhaust tube flange gaskets. That was the noise I was hearing before the overheating started again. And Rapid repair told me it was nothing. Replaced the fan and motor assay-condenser. Stated spark plugs needed to be changed. Something that Rapid repair said that they performed. Timing chain guides again something was suppose to have been repaired. I really feel I was taken advantage of. My vechicle was repaired on 6/28/ 2017 I have not had any problems with over heating, the check engine light is not on, and the bottom block did not need repairing. That is why I do not feel as if Rapid Repair, repaired the correct parts  from the beginning. Everything Rapid Repair said they repaired [redacted] say's I still need. I really trusted Rapid Repair ,at the time is was single and I practically spent all the savings I had to fix my vechicle and I was just played over.
