We did make an attempt to satisfy this customer by offering her a replacement motor coverHowever she was not pleased with it and left our shopA week or so later she called and we spoke to her regarding this matterWe mentioned our attempt to settle the matter and by the end of that conversation, she threatened to take us to courtThere was never a cover on the motor to begin with, but in an effort to please the customer Again we did offer a cover.Sincerely,Stroli Motors

I would not buy from this dealership. I wish I would have done research on them before I bought a car from them. I bought a car from them and when I got home I had so many things that were wrong with the car that was not on the sticker. When I called them they said oh well it was sold as is. I get that is how they get away with it but if I would have known what was wrong with this car I would have walked away. Do not trust the sales person he talked up the car so much I thought I was getting a deal.

Review: I bought a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 on 03/05/2014 from Stroli Motors and was told it would be in full operational condition with no issues. I noticed no concerns (mechanical, warning lights, etc) when test driving this vehicle. I was told the truck just had a tune-up and fresh oil change. I purchased the vehicle for the asking price and drove it to my parents home 20 miles away. Upon restarting the vehicle to go fill it with gas, I noticed the check engine light was on. The truck also began shifting hard between 1st and 2nd gear. I called Stroli Motors and was told to bring it back and they would "check it out". I brought the truck back and the representative I bought the truck from hooked up a code reader. This individual told me that there was one code signifying there was a problem with the mass airflow sensor. This individual cleared the code and told me it must have been a glitch. This individual also stated that the hard shifting is not a problem as his son's truck does the same thing. I drove the truck away and by the time I got home in Wauwatosa, the check engine light was back on. I took the truck to Auto Zone and they read two codes; one involving the O2 sensor and the other involving the transmission slipping. I bought an O2 sensor and transmission fluid with the intent to replace these parts.

The following day, I was coming home from work and as I was driving the spedometer dropped to 0 MPH while I was still moving. I came to a stop sign, turned the truck off, and restarted it. As I took off, the spedometer appeared to be back to normal. However, not 2 miles later, the spedometer again dropped to 0 MPH while in motion.

On 03/07/2014, I took the truck to Silver Lake Auto in North Lake. I was called back later that evening and was informed of many problems with the truck. I was quoted $1151.30 to replace the O2 sensor, idler arm and pinion arm (?), flush the transmission and differential (as the transmission fluid was dirty and smelled burnt), and change the oil (as there was no oil on the dipstick when checked). In addition, I was informed that the shocks all around need to be changed and the upper and lower ball joints need to be changed. These additional repairs were quoted to be more than an additional $1000 in repairs. As to the transmission, the mechanic at the repair shop could not give an explanation but stated that it could be that the truck needs a new transmission.

I was led to believe that this was a great running truck with no issues. As it turns out, I will have to put an additional $2000+ into a truck I just bought 2 days prior for $3000. If I was aware of these issues before purchasing, I would not have bought the truck for that price.Desired Settlement: I feel that these issues should have been addressed prior to sale, or I at very least should have been made aware of potential problems. I feel that a full refund of my repair costs is in order at the expense of Stroli Motors as a result. I am not even considering the time I have spent running around fruitlessly trying to address this, including the pointless trip back to Stroli Motors to get a code cleared.
