First of all, the owner of this company is not Revdex.com certified but on his invoice there is a huge picture of the Revdex.com iconI was extremely disappointed in the work ethic and professionalism of this contractorI contacted him through his sign posted outside of a house in which he had completed a remodeling projectBecause I had seen one other sign in the neighborhood, I thought it would be worth giving him a tryMind you that I had been saving up money to have my master bathroom and bedroom remodeled and new laminate wooden floors put inFinancially, I was ready, but I was not ready to endure what I describe as a series of unfortunate eventsdays before the job was scheduled to begin, he stopped by our house and gave us an invoice with detailed description of what his job coveredI gave him a check with half the amount he charged so that he could gather the materials needed for the jobWhen March came around, he showed up at 10:am with no materialsIt was demolition dayThe next day he showed up with only tilesHe dropped off his workers and took off to buy the rest of the materials for that day's jobWe met up with him at Floor decor and picked out mosaic tiles and pebbled tiles for the bathroom floor (our expense)We began to see progress, but when Wednesday came, [redacted] decided to go buy the laminate wood that we had already picked out the day before, and was gone all dayHis workers were getting the bathroom done5pm rolls in and [redacted] decides to call me saying that there was a problem with laminate and I needed to meet him at Floor DecorI showed up and the worker had lost the invoice we had prepared the day beforeI picked out the materials all over again and took note of the amount needed and SKU numbersThis was at the end of the day when it could have been solved earlier that morning [redacted] proceeded to load up the granite counter top we had picked and I met him at the houseNothing got done that dayDid I mention he smelled like alcohol? Yes, he was drinkingMay I also mention that he had another job happening on the same week and failed to let us know the reasons he was gone all day while his workers had no materials to continue the job? The next morning (Thursday) at about 11am, he shows up with only boxes of laminate and the wrong padding...this is after I had sent him a picture with the list including SKU numbers of the materials I had picked out and the exact amount of materials needed to complete the jobHe leaves what he had and takes off to buy the padding coming back with only one roll when he knew he needed 3.Basically, he knew the amount of materials he needed for the job but did not buy enough so that he could have excuses to take off and have a beer or meet up with other potential customersShall I go on? To make a very long story short, this guy promised to remodel my bathroom by putting in new tiles, sliding glass doors, painting, new plumbing, strip out cabinets and put in new with granite counter top, install light fixtures and bathroom fixtures, strip carpet and put in new laminate wood, and have it all done in daysHe began work on a Monday and left Tuesday of the following week, turning a days job into a day nightmare, and to top it all off...here comes the good part: the cabinets are not finished (half way done because the carpenter quit on him), and when I went to use the shower in my new bathroom, the water poured out of the walls behind the toilet leaking all the way to the new laminate wood and making its way through the kids' bathroom and creating a giant puddle in the other bathroom as wellWe called him tonight to explain the situation, and according to him he can "fix" the problem Saturday (which is days from now)I would absolutely not recommend Stronghold contractors to anybodyIt holds nothing strong in its name and has no credibility whatsoever

First of all, the owner of this company is not Revdex.com certified but on his invoice there is a huge picture of the Revdex.com icon. I was extremely disappointed in the work ethic and professionalism of this contractor. I contacted him through his sign posted outside of a house in which he had completed a remodeling project. Because I had seen one other sign in the neighborhood, I thought it would be worth giving him a try. Mind you that I had been saving up money to have my master bathroom and bedroom remodeled and new laminate wooden floors put in. Financially, I was ready, but I was not ready to endure what I describe as a series of unfortunate events. 10 days before the job was scheduled to begin, he stopped by our house and gave us an invoice with detailed description of what his job covered. I gave him a check with half the amount he charged so that he could gather the materials needed for the job. When March 16 came around, he showed up at 10:30 am with no materials. It was demolition day. The next day he showed up with only tiles. He dropped off his 2 workers and took off to buy the rest of the materials for that day's job. We met up with him at Floor decor and picked out mosaic tiles and pebbled tiles for the bathroom floor (our expense). We began to see progress, but when Wednesday came, [redacted] decided to go buy the laminate wood that we had already picked out the day before, and was gone all day. His 2 workers were getting the bathroom done. 5pm rolls in and [redacted] decides to call me saying that there was a problem with laminate and I needed to meet him at Floor Decor. I showed up and the worker had lost the invoice we had prepared the day before. I picked out the materials all over again and took note of the amount needed and SKU numbers. This was at the end of the day when it could have been solved earlier that morning. [redacted] proceeded to load up the granite counter top we had picked and I met him at the house. Nothing got done that day. Did I mention he smelled like alcohol? Yes, he was drinking. May I also mention that he had another job happening on the same week and failed to let us know the reasons he was gone all day while his workers had no materials to continue the job? The next morning (Thursday) at about 11am, he shows up with only 3 boxes of laminate and the wrong padding...this is after I had sent him a picture with the list including SKU numbers of the materials I had picked out and the exact amount of materials needed to complete the job. He leaves what he had and takes off to buy the padding coming back with only one roll when he knew he needed 3.Basically, he knew the amount of materials he needed for the job but did not buy enough so that he could have excuses to take off and have a beer or meet up with other potential customers. Shall I go on? To make a very long story short, this guy promised to remodel my bathroom by putting in new tiles, sliding glass doors, painting, new plumbing, strip out cabinets and put in new with granite counter top, install light fixtures and bathroom fixtures, strip carpet and put in new laminate wood, and have it all done in 5 days. He began work on a Monday and left Tuesday of the following week, turning a 5 days job into a 9 day nightmare, and to top it all off...here comes the good part: the cabinets are not finished (half way done because the carpenter quit on him), and when I went to use the shower in my new bathroom, the water poured out of the walls behind the toilet leaking all the way to the new laminate wood and making its way through the kids' bathroom and creating a giant puddle in the other bathroom as well. We called him tonight to explain the situation, and according to him he can "fix" the problem Saturday (which is 4 days from now). I would absolutely not recommend Stronghold contractors to anybody. It holds nothing strong in its name and has no credibility whatsoever.
