Review: On June 23rd, 2013 I had my truck towed to Strong's Autocare. On the Friday previous to that my boyfriend [redacted] (also my mecanic) had spoke with the Body shop manager regarding fixing the frame of my truck, in detail he explained the damange to the frame where it was located and what it looked like, at no point of the conversation did [redacted] state that we would have to have the truck towed there in order for him to give us an estimate, instead he stated to us that he had seen damange like this before and it would not cost us more than [redacted] to fix and that we would get a discount because it would be a filler car, getting to it when they could. Because of this, we decided to go with them to fix my car, so I paid [redacted] to have my truck towed to them. That Monday the 24th [redacted] called and [redacted] told him that he would need to bring the body parts down, at which time they had looked at the truck and never stated that it would cost more money, so I paid another [redacted] to have the parts brought down. With no phone calls to myself or [redacted] by Thursday the 27th I called the shop and spoke with [redacted], it wasn't until that time he said it would cost me about [redacted] to fix. I explained that they quoted us no more than [redacted] and that was the only reason I went with them, he said that there was nothing he could do it was a bad fix. This was poor poor customer service since we were promised no more than [redacted] and since they would not honor it I would not give them my business and would be looking into suing for the cost of the tows since now I had to pay for another tow to pick up my truck. This is very very poor customer service, how can you quote your customers one thing but change your mind once you see it. It is not fair because now I am out [redacted] and can not afford to fix my truck right now. With all the shops that I could have chosen it is very sad that I have had such a bad experience and I will make sure no one ever goes to them.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I would like my tow reimbursed to me I spent [redacted] to have it towed to and from and I would settle for at least half of that to be returned since they showed no kind of good customer service and did nothing but lie.

[redacted] was hoping the repair did not exceed [redacted].The description of damage she told us and her expectation was that we could straighten for [redacted].strongs autocare nor anyone else can price a damaged car over the phone with out seeing the vehicle in person.when the truck arrived I [redacted]inspected the truck and said I would be between [redacted] dollars and her boyfriend brought parts over to repair.the next day she changed her mind and towed truck away.for the cost of 2nd tow she could added that money to repair truck.Strongs autocare will not be refunding any money to her for towing charges or anything else!!!

That is not the way it happened. My boyfriend was told by [redacted] when he called they WOULD do it for $400.00 and did not state that they needed to see the vehicle first, this was the ONLY reason we towed it there. Also it was 2 days later when they finally looked at my truck and asked the parts be brought over, so my boyfriend brought the parts over at which time they NEVER stated that they vehicle would cost more than $400.00. A week later I had still not heard anything back from them and I called to find out the status of the truck, at that time they had told me that it would cost an upwards of $800.00. I was very upset that I was lied to. We would NOT have towed it there had we known that, they did not state that it would cost more, the tech stated over the phone, "oh i've seen plenty of accidents like that, we can do that for $400.00". Now they are lying even more and I have 2 witness statements about the events that happened that I am prepared to go to small claims court with and all my receipts, nevermind that one of their techs was VERY unprofessional when my tow truck driver went to pick up my truck and was bad mouthing me and my decisions. I will take this as far as I need to to get my money back. They can not treat people this way and think its ok and get away with it.

She wanted us to agree to her terms.Strong's Autocare llc feels this person is trying to get something for nothing.She was never a customer,we never worked on her vehicle.

Review: My car broke down next door to Strongs Autocare in South Windsor, CT on 6/14/13 so I let them tell me what was wrong with my car. They said they could not look at the car until 6/17/13. At 8:30 on the 17th I told 'Lester' at [redacted]'s Autocare not to do anything to the car until they talked to me first. He said he would. Two hours later he told me what was wrong with the car and the high repair cost. When I told him I could not afford the cost he said, "you can trade your car to us and we can get you another car from auctions that we always go too." I told him I wanted to keep my car and would have it looked at by someone else. He then informed me that I owed $101.00 for the diagnostic test that was done. I told him I did not ask for anything to be done and specifically told him not to do anything until he spoke to me. He said, "well, a diagnostic test is always done to all cars." I told him I never paid for one from other mechanics and he said, "do you go to a doctor and not pay for the exam?" Worried about getting him angry and possibly doing damage to my car I agreed to pay the $101.00 so he would release my car to be towed to another mechanic. Lester was told NOT to do anything to my car until he talked to me. He did not tell me upfront that I would be charged an automatic 'diagnostic fee'. I am very angry at how I was cheated out of $101.00 by this company.

I believe [redacted]'s Autocare owes me $101.00 for a 'diagnostic fee' I was not informed of. When I dropped off my keys to them on 6/14/13, they were closing so I did not have time to look at any postings of their charges. I feel that [redacted], who I specifically told not to do anything to my car until he talked to me, should have told me that there was a 'diagnostic fee'. Never apologized, instead compared his services to a doctor's exam!
